ok
And it was probably a self bounty tbh. Some people think you cant be a pirate without the 'wanted' sign. But I could be compleatly wrong and someone was dumb enough to put a bounty on someone using the current system.

If it is self-bounty he just payed to die. If someone "was dumb enough" as you say to place the bounty on him it served its purpose & has caused the death of his enemy. Either way, the victims win.

Many of the new players (2006) do not understand the bounty system. 2m of the bounty on my head was put there by an angry victum who took to long to pay up. I put the rest to add a pattern to it.

i do remember a certain group of antipirates that would put 5 mil on my head everytime i entered their system and they failed to kill me. i'm not sure what they are on about, but i appreciate it.

I don't think your corporation, alliance, or people who are + to you should beable to collect your bounty, however, then you still have an issue with just using an alt to collect your bounty. Theres no way around it.
I do put bountys on peoples heads though. Alot of people have implants. I know a pirate who flys Nevy Megas & the like. He flys with full snake in his head. Ofcorse now you can just jumpclone to getrid of implants & pod yourself.
Then you've got people who respect the bounty; if I got a bounty I would never pod myself. But I would never put a bounty on myself either.
Honestly, I think the boutny system is about as good as it will get without alot of serious thought put into it.

The staggering 1mill on my head is 100% legit, put there by someone whom I have no flipping idea is.
And yes, you feel cool when you're sporting a big fat WANTED sign, especially when its legit.
I also use implants, not very expensive implants but i'll pay you 10mill to let my pod live sure :P
That said, gonna haveto put a great deal of bounty for me to remove it, a bounty is a sign of character!

Apparently I made somebody mad a bit ago b/c they put a 30mil bounty on me, hasn't been collected yet...

Contrary to popular believe there are quite some people out there who put a bounty on you =)
If you pirate enough you will eventually get a bounty placed on your head.
