State of this game for this solo player..
1) I Just now (since 2011) understand that it's really just a PVP exploit game with ZERO fairness and little honor. = Waste of time playing it!
2) Could be amazing for the space adventure pilot, but the universe is far too crowded and the Vet's just keep it small.
3) Far too much weight is given the pirate role; it's unrealistic and immersion breaking.
4) Too much of the more advanced content is placed in areas that promote the pirate role (see #3).
It's the only space game to play ATM that is completely developed, so it gets me to sub (4 accounts) for 6 months a year. I then get disgusted after about 3 months, delete the toons or give them away because I was temped by the short skill queue....... except now...
This time I didn't delete them, I got to update my skill queue to equal my sub time... Then I uninstalled everything, deleted Dotlan bookmarks and EFT.......
Peace at last....... here's hoping for next year and that CCP wakes up to the player who wants a fair fight. |

So you did not quit eve, you are just paying for something you are not gonna play? Well that's cool, ccp still gets your money, and one less whiner on the forums, as you won;t be following anyway, so win win. And if i misread and you actually cancled yoru sub, then you won;t be training anything while unsubed. But hey its your money, if you want to spend it on a game you won;t be playing that's on you.
Now to address your stuff:
1) Uh.. what the hades are you talking about? There is plenty of fairness, you just have to know how to counter your opponents. And how to fit correctly. If you don;t know how to do that, or how to play smart, well then it will look unfair.
2) Except they just made changes to take longer to get form point a to point b with caps, and they are adding a new huge system and 100 new systems to explore. So again,, what?
3) Again what? The weight of a pirate is the same as the others, people like begin pirates, and there is no 'role' nothing is stopping you form becoming and anti pirate and hunting them down, or not doing any ship to ship pvp, or going out and being a line solder for a 0.0 alliance. I think you really need to relearn what eve is
4) there is no pirate role. And thats the point. Risk Vs. Reward, you want good stuff? you are taking the risk of dying. And you can get access to it easily if you play smart and know what the hells you are doing with no issues.
Yea i'm sorry but you are wrong. Thanks for keeping giving ccp your money, and you won;t be missed in space.

Well, it's a game focused on blowing up spaceships.

What sort of "advanced content"?
Every form of PvE content is available in highsec - obviously with greatly decreased risk comes greatly decreased reward. |

I personally find pre-arranged fights boring. I prefer 3v1 where I'm the 1. Yes I die a lot, but not always, and it's challenging and fun.
Having said that, finding a 'fair' fight in EVE is extremely easy:
1. Find somebody that wants one (apparently there are several, since every day somebody is whining on the forums)
2. Duel in a quiet system
3. Have fun (if that's fun for you)
I'm sure you could've come up with that by yourself.

I hope you don't go through life living the same 'its hard so im giving up' philosophy.
Eve is about protecting what you own. If you can't be bothered protecting it, you don't deserve to have it. There are 1000's of games out there that cater to your play-style. Go pick one of those instead of coming to the one game that doesn't and complaining about it.
Eve give you the tools to fix your problems. If you don't use them then don't complain. |
