yup so eve just crashed
i just finished locking a BC two of his friend jump in local and we are at a belt in a .4
i nos him but my scram wont turn on, so he warps out. then i can't launch my drones, his drones has me lock so i can't cloak and i can't even warp or change direction
then the game crashes and now i can loggon.
anyone else down atm

Yep. I'm down atm -- can't connect to proxy servers it says. Just gotta wait, reconnect, wash, rinse, repeat. Luckily I was in .5

proxy not connected is what i get....i gotta say, CCP seems to be havin more and more plms over the past month....what is goin on?? is the company growin too big for staff to keep up? or do we got more staff at ccp that r there for a paycheck?? seems EVE never had as many plms as they r having now...im not one to complain, but just somethin im noticing...

I was just soloing a thorax in 0.0 using my "inty of doom". Rax was into hull, then I get an error and eve is CTD (crash to desktop).
Now I get "Status Proxy Not Connected. 15456 players"
I hope that thorax pilot isnt getting away from me, or worse, that my poor defenceless inty is getting fried!
If I die then I will have to spend 300,000 isks on new +1 implants ;-)
(rax pilots aren't what they used to be)

crap, bad timing, have to be at work in 7 hrs and would like to get some sleep first, and servers are down for maint when i wake up.
I guess i could drink 4 big glasses of water and go to bed, i'll obviously have to get back up in a couple hours to take a leak, but, that's kinda not something I wanna suggest in the game strategy guide.

same here, proxy not connected, what one of your temp "game masters" roll over your power cable that hooks up the other 50 server systems strung about the office?
amazing, simply amazing. Maybe you guys need to call dell and wait for thier wonderfull tech support.

well, the first year it was eh.. a lot of probs :) just use this downtime as a coffee break + sandwich maybe.

you wernt soloing it, you had a munnin sititng next to you, the fact that i couldnt actuly shot anything, i blaim the server crash for.

I couldn't reload any of my weapons 'til it crashed, though I was kitting reasonably well dispite that.
I especially love that when you click on the "known issues" link in the news it's a broken URL. is that a know issue?
They are improving this game the way they did SWG: trying to fix non-broken content instead of real bugs. I have not seen any noticable improvement with the dragon code... I think it's time for a new plan. did anyone wind up in queue's before the dragon code?

i think the larger the player base gets the harder it is for them to run a stable server, their were never problem like this when their were an average of 10k ppl on, now theirs 20+k everynight

True, but it hasn't been down long... yet. I've seen real doozies I tell you... one time I couldn't play for two days because the server went down as I was patching.... THAT tested patience...
Stretch legs, accept inevitability into your life, and don't be too upset if you log back into a pod, it is only a game.
Of course, if that happens to me when I log back in I'm going to seriously kick off.. but I'm special. And was docked.

Yawn, another day another crash
Just got up and tried to set a skill training to no avail, status uknown etc.
So then I thought I'd have a play on the test server - Incompatible - visit www.blahdeblah for the patch. I did that and the patch isn't listed.
CCP - we put up with daily downtimes without complaint, but in the few months I've been playing the server's never been more unreliable.
Please let us know what's happening, I'm getting towards the end of my tether. Fortunately I was docked at the time so unlike others I've not got a ship to worry about and the hassles of waiting for a reinbursment petetion.

Oh dear...I'm not new to online games, It's a complex business and no mistake, however I gave some hard earned cash to come and try eve, this was clearly my mistake.
I only paid for a full account today and already I couldn't play when I wanted to at 12:30 (gmt) - now, when I come for a game because sleep alludes me, i find yet again i can't log-in. I had maybe 2 or 3 hours on "my" new game today and it was not because i was starved for time.
can I have my money back? (don't bother answering - it was a rhetorical question...I know the answer).
