Originally by: Kieron A number of additions have been made to the Known Issues page after last week's deployment of the Dragon code branch. These issues will be resolved in patches coming in the next few weeks.
We are still in need of assistance with testing the known issues at the bottom of the list and further fix testing on Singularity.
If it's going to take a few weeks to fix the problems with the Dragon code, does that mean that Kali 1 will no longer be ready by the end of September?
And if so, when will Kali 1 be ready?

There are different people working on creating new content (Kali) and fixing bugs, so all the problems with Dragon doesnt necessarily mean that Kali will be delayed.
We'll see.

There is no hope, that weŚll see Kali1 on TQ within september. I would expect a release at end of november.

I can't imagine going ahead with Kali 1 with all thes new bugs... That would just be foolish IMO...

Yeah. Hopefully they can fix them quickly, but there are quite alot of small bugs all over the place.
Soon sharky is going to link his bugreport form in this thread.... --- Eve Wiki | Eve Tribune | Eve Pirate |

there is a german article about Kali on www.golem.de which was published today.
Appearantly they still want to release Kali 1 in september.
Dunno if the journalist had up-to-date data, tho.

once kali is on SISI for us to test u are looking at a 4-6 week time target it isnt there and isnt slated for at least 3-4 weeks so 4+6 =10 weeks from now which means end of november

Unfortunately, I think that's an overly optimistic view.

Like I said b4, my guess is Q1 2007...
And I have no problem with that if it takes that long to fix everything that's crippling this game b4 they introduce new content that will undoubtedly have it's own set of bugs... ------------------------------------------------ Current Hobby other than EVE

The article mentions that most of the coding of Kali 1 is finished and they are testing it internally.

Since i joined this game it has always had many, many bugs around... I dont think its possible to dedicate the entire workforce to just fix bugs, because a game like this needs to grow and develop to keep people interested.
Imagine if the new eve graphics wouldnt come for example... im certain it would hurt sales quite alot to have eve look old in the graphics department.

I'm reminded of E3, where CCP insisted Kali would be coming out in a month or two to everyone. And then said it would be a staggered release from September as soon as it ended..

What hurts EVE more is the lag and system Q's, certainly more than older looking graphics...

Thats from the current players point of view, yes. But a new player looking for a mmorpg, he wont care if the game is bug free when it looks like its from the 80's. Thats what I mean.
Also personally i love new content, even with some bugs.... --- Eve Wiki | Eve Tribune | Eve Pirate |
