Does anyone know why it petitions are not being answered? I have had two... the first one deleted because it took too long; Three weeks without a reply, now I have a second and I am comming up to another three weeks. Are they all on vacation or something? ------------------- Ashraem "Xarix" M'Kai

I would guess because the petition system is overloaded due to all the problems of late.

Petition que is flooded because everyone wants their ship reimbursed even though they loose it due to their own fault.

Im guessing the petition queue must be reaching an all-time record by now...there have been many problems the last month (or maybe 6 weeks).
So it may be a while.

We have to assume that they are disinclined to delegate more responsibility for one's actions back to the players.
Furthermore, since they keep doing it, we have to presume that this makes them happy.
Some people derive satisfaction from the feeling of being overwhelmed. I can't explain it, but I have a few theories.

From a responce in another thread, the current petition que is well over 5000 petitions long.
say 15 minutes per petition, that's 1250 man hours just for what's in the cue right now. Then tommorrow, their will be a whole new bunch of them. That's over 30 weeks of work for one employee working 40hrs a week.
So unless they have like 50 GM's handleing the petitions, I don't see it getting any better any time soon.

im guessing its a combo of people petitioning ships due to lag (mission runners mostly)(non petitionable) and people petitioning the lack of response time on there petition, thereby generating a second petition, then petitioning lack of response again and again.
so basically frustration and impatience is the cause.
