I learned two things today.
I learned that the total population of the ôgameö Second Life has surpassed 500k.
I also learned that the population of Iceland is about 300k.
I believe that this represents a historic opportunity for the nation of Iceland. Despite have an ôarmyö of peacekeeping forces (about 80 guys) and a ôcoast guardö which consists of ôthree ships and one boatö IÆm 98% certain that Iceland could kick Second LifeÆs butt.
Therefore, I call on the Republic of Iceland to declare war on Second Life.
With the NATO base in Iceland being shut down this October this opportunity for Iceland to gain some military street cred might not come around twice!

If I'm not mistaken, Iceland is officially under US military protection. Therefore Iceland can kick any nation's ass by proxy. (occupations not included)

Strategic value. Protection started with England during WW II, and was later passed to the US. It continued through the cold war since, well, cold war.
Obviously, it's still in effect so that Iceland can spend less money on the standard military-industrial complex, and more money on genetically engineering crazy game developers.

Iceland's biggest protection has always been that there's jack-diddly-squat there that's worth invading for.

Hmm.. Iceland is pretty cool actually, I like the place.
Not trying to de-rail the thread or anything but I just have to say that the very mention of SL and "game" in the same sentence infuriates me unless that sentence happens to say:
"SL is not a game, it is a 3d chat program"
