I am doing lvl 3 kill mission atm in Minmatar space and I was wondering whether the loot drop has somewhat worsend since the latest patch about 1 week ago. I am in 0.7 and 0.8 space and I am seriously considering not collecting my loot anymore at all. Takes ages and for what...100 units of heavy missles?
Btw (however off topic) lp's dont pay for anything except implants and impossible tag-required offers. Whats CCP doing to my kill missions ffs? Increasing difficulty (thats OK with me), giving crappy loot and useless lp in return. Wow THX ALOT!!

Incase you never noticed before, the best loot always dropped from non-deadspace missions. Illegal Activity, Tech Secrets, the missions where 3-5 waves attacked you in a row, etc... those all had very very good drops. The deadspace missions, such as the extrav's and massive attack have always had HORRID loot... plus they take longer to run because of the time required to make those extra jumps/travel to the gates inside multi-leveled ds missions, etc.
The smart mission runners used to turn down the extravs/several other deadspace missions in favor of the 100% can dropping regular missions. Now we're all stuck with the crappy loot.
Oh... and what else were LP's used for? The implants were always the best LP to ISK ratio (other than the connections skillbooks), so why is this a problem? Other than the fact that they are losing their value extremely fast (which I will agree is annoying).

I'm not impressed with the patch or the mission upgrades. I have quite the collection of 75mm rails now.

I believe it's worse since the patch, including the deadspace mission.

Oh Well, I guess I'll run missions faster by not looting them and further depress the implant market with the LP I get from completing more missions.
@ OP- LP are far from useless. They are one of the more valuable commodities around. Each LP is worth about 1000 isk (just roughly - used to be more, but offers have been changed significantly). Anyways, it's not hard to rack up a bunch of LP in a couple hours and get a decent offer that you can keep or sell.

Doing a lvl 4 Enemies Abound 3 of 5 and just picked up a local hull expander from loot earlier. The rest of the loot seems unchanged to me.

LP's are still worth more than 1000 isk per, they used to be worth between more than 2500 isk per though.

Spawns in 0.0 seems to be working fine, so i guess it's the missions that took a hit

Hmmm I think it was one of the patches back in 2005 that brought the uberly crap loot

Loot was not changed at all as far as I can tell. It is just that now the percentage of missions with deadspace rats (Pith, Corp, Cent etc.) is higher now and those always dropped 90% crap if anything at all. The few non-deadspace rat enemy missions left (mainly against empire factions) still drop semi-decent loot (not as good as 0.0, but at least everything drops a can and sometimes there are good mods).

Yeah, somewhere more than 1000 per, but dropping in value recently and evidently dropping over time too.
As far as crappy loot recently, maybe I just had horrible luck-I mentioned that in my post, right? If not I meant to.

I received a Carbonised Lead M BPO drop from a random level 3 mission rat after the latest patch deployment.
It may be a worthless piece of junk but I've never seen BPO drops from rats before. New patch to blaim?
Fitting a tractor beam makes the effort of hoovering up the cans so much more bearable as well.

L4 Vengeance against Mordus: 1-2 pieces of BS equipment and 1-2 stacks of L ammo. Yay for 1000-1250m¦ of junk.
That M CarboLead BPO has never been removed from the loot tables. It is just a really rare drop or even a rare mission-specific goodie.
