This might be the answer for all your 2:00AM skill switching needs. Imagine, you're sound asleep. From deep within nigtmares about '3 minutes remaining until jump' with a pile of baddies in hot pursuit, you hear "Skill training completed" over and over. You shake yourself awake, stumble downstairs, login (hopefully) and start a new skill. A quick stop in the bathroom and you're back off to dreamland without missing more than a few precious minutes of training time.
Then again, t could be that I'm the only one who thinks that would be neat.
Of course, anybody who did such an application would be obliged to make it monitor server status and make it wail like a rabid vulture on meth whenever the server crashed. They might also be obliged to send a few to select CCP employees.

Not sure why you would need that since you check your skill and set your alarm clock to completion time. ---------------------

Just use a laptop for that - you can even change the skills for you, in fact you could write a <favorite language here> script that would log you into eve for you, and make a noise to wake you up so you could click the button to change your skill for you! --- Our greatest glory is not in never failing, but in rising up every time we fail. - Emerson |

Laptop ~$500 (US) Chumby ~150 (US). Besides, you never forget to set an alarm again. Don't leave the laptop in the laptop bag, etc. Always on, and ready to go.

I'd be more concerned about preserving my Circadian Rythm than fueling an addiction to a video game.
Seriously rethink the priorities of your life if you're disrupting your sleep over this game. Why not just spend 5 minutes downloading EVEMon, and then checking if your skill will finish during the night before you go to bed (and switch to a longer one if absolutely necessary?) Seriously, reprioritize your life

I was unable to connect to your link, but I'd like to see an EVEMon-esque application for my smartphone. That way, I could be in a client meeting and confirm that, yes, in fact I *have* just trained Electronics lvl 5.

Can no-one calculate time anymore? Although it does look pretty cool isn't it just an expensive novelty alarm clock/radio?
I joined BoB and all I got was this crappy sign 族

as far as I can tell that is exactly what it is, that's why I will be getting one, to add to my piles of useless electronic tat.

EVEMon can already send an SMS (by email) to my phone. That's alert enough for me. My phone is by my bed when I sleep. But I schedule my training to last through the night, anyway. I'm not waking up to change a skill.
