ok,in high security, decided to target corp mate before i docked and shoot him for a laugh,i did ,but to my horror saw 3 missiles go towards the station then i docked about 2 or 3 seconds later ,after i heard the missiles hit
here are my problems with it
1. why didn't i get the concorde warning window that says they will hand me my arse if i shoot them ? possible bug ? (i have never ticked the box that says not to show that message again)
2 how come after, note AFTER, i shot at the station it allowed me to dock ? (i thought there was an agro timer of like a minute after fighting before being allowed to dock ? )
3 i know i chose my corp mate for targeting, how come it targeted station ? (possibly lag or is there a problem here ? others ever see this ?)
saw a big fat yellow warning, after i docked,on top left of my monitor, the aggression timer, so i waited it out for 15 mins then i deactivated my tempest and sheepishly undocked in my shuttle all ok

You didn`t get Concorde going after you, because your missiles could do zero damage
A long, long time ago this was fixed, because it was too easy to accidentally hit Stargates and Stations
The aggro timer is automatic as soon as you hit anything, but sometimes it`ll do it just by targetting something

Edited by: Kuang Jao on 30/08/2006 22:18:05 were you between the station and your friend when you targeted him? And you probably didn't use the overview to target, did you? I've noticed that when you're near a large structure, even if the structure is not visible on screen, holding the mouse button to bring up the menu (the circles around your target, whatever you call it) will open the menu for the structure, not what is actaully under the curser. I'm guessing the game is sensing the curser to be within the mapped area of the structure, seeing as how it takes up such a larger section of space and you're so close.
I've almost lost several ships to this, so I try and use the overview in touchy situations.

Actually, it doesn't have to be a large structure.. I have had my frigate, seen from 25km away (tiny dot on the view), to be the click target _anywhere_ I clicked on the view.
I have been right in front of one station (that station filling the view completely), yet mouse click on that station targets another station few AU's away and its icon not even visible in the view (e.g. behind my back)!?!
It is completely messy, and dangerous.
