Once I have an R&D agent and he tells me there is nothing for me, there is another line that sais that he needs some help researching stuff. I accept and now I am researching Quantum Physics for him. Is there something i need to do? Do I need to go rent a lab or something.
The playerguide is very unclear on this. Could I get some help? Thanks

Once you have a research agent, there is nothing else you needto do - your agent will accumulate a certain number of research points for you each day without you doing anything.
You can also do missions for your agent, the completion of which will double the amount of research points you get for that day. Unfortunately, with the removal of almost all courier missions in the latest patch, research agents have no missions to give out and hence will always tell you there is nothing available.
When it is working again, you should get an evemail letting you know your agent has a mission available.

Currently it does plain nothing...
RP were supposed to give you a chance to get a Tech2 BPO sometime...
Ever since I got my R&D agents...there haven't been given out ANY BPOs by them in their fields of research...
And thats a few months now...
So either don't bother with R&D or be patient like...um...like...an Eremite?

Be patient. It can take months, or even years to get a BPO. I should know. I finally got a T2 BPO 2+ years after I started going to my first agent.
