Hitchhiking, the name says it all really. The way it would work is that a hitchhiking pod would send a hitchhike request to a ship within a certain distance of it (lets say 4km) and if the request is accepted the hitchhiker's pod boards the ship. The hitchhiker would be able to operate their own set of camera drones around the ship, but would not be able to actually control the ship in any way. The only option they would have would be to eject their pod from the ship (at any time except while in warp).
Pilots who accept hitchhikers would have the ability to expel their riders at any point (except during warp).
Different ship classes could carry a different amount of hitchhikers, for instance:
Shuttle: 0
Frigate: 1
Cruiser: 2
Industrial: 2 or 3
Battleship: 3 or possibly more
Just an idea, I think it has potential.

Sounds good mate. Have you though also about the idea od tractor beams that allow you to tractor other peoples ships or even your own empty ones.

Tractor beams would also be cool, but I imagine they would be harder for CCP to implement than something like hitchhiking. However I do like the idea. :)

And I'm pretty sure its possible, not too much different than the "look at" feature I'd imagine.

Could be a good idea to impliment. I'd love if someone could take me from station to station if I buy a ship somewhere else and I don't want to use / buy a shuttle. |

definitelty a cool idea, maybe even a transport ship, that allows several passengers and the pilot could charge a small fee.
