Rumor has it, that an alliance found out that they could crash the server if they had enough people copying bookmarks and thats why they changed it, sounds like a bad joke, but players will gossip hehe. Would be cool to see half an alliance get banned for crashing the server. I just hope that they fix the damn code, so we can get our bookmarks back.

Ok lets get it out then;
fresh of the presses the new bookmark copying guide;
required ; two cans and a lot of time
- label one can as copied bm's ,and one as to be copied
step 1. place five bm's in the can labelled "to be copied" and copy them
step 2. wait a minute till they have actually copied
step 3. place copied bm's in second can (the one labelled "copied"
and start at step 1 again
as this process will be very time consuming, it is advised to have a steady supply of a highly caffeinated drink close by.

I think the current BM situation plays in hands of older players while putting younger players at significant disadvantage.
Older players already have most of the bms they'll need. Younger players still need to get most of those bms and it's being extremely difficult for them.

Crashing a server? It wouldn't suprise me in the least. I accidentely copied a couple of bookmarks in a high trafic system, my client froze up for some time. Copy a 1000 each with a hundred friends and i am pretty certain that it ain't good for the server. Locking up a system that way wouldn't suprise me, the next (logical) step would be crashing the system server.

You all can thank the AAA Alliance for this change. They are the ones that used this to cause lag on purpose among other things. |
