ive seen lots of people say *....*. can any1 tell me what there meaning by this?

I think .... is used by people who are unsure whether or not to use a comma or fullstop....if you know what I mean.

I use it when I want to have a pause longer than a comma but not end the sentence, like... this.

Actually, it means "join up the dots". Usually you get a buny rabbit or something, in this case it looks like it's probably just a line.
I wouldn't lose too much sleep over it :)

people use *this* when they want to emphasize something and don't want to CAPITALIZE it or don't have access to things like italics or bold or even underline. Though for the last people often do _this_.

Alternatively, 'tis can be used to indicate *action* performed by the person in question, something you could (in theory) see them do if you happened to be in the same place.

Or it's used when the end of that sentence is obvious to the ones who have gotten the essence of it, sorta like; throw yourself off a...
I use it for the innuendo possibility.

well, im suprised that noone else use it like me... i use it to corect my bad spelling.

:P as i often type and type, and the i hit enter... and then i read. hehe ;)
as for 3 dots "..." i use it as a single... i just like that it makes a bigger room between sentences... makes it easyier for me to read i think... and it also gives my slightly more time to think about what to write in the next sentece ... but i also sometimes use it like mentioned above... to make an pause in the middle of a sentence
oh well :P

An ellipsis (the correct name for ... or more correctlyà except in this font you probably can't make out the 3 dots) is used for denoting missing words in a quote or a pause in speech or thought.
