None of you would know this, because you never play sports. Or exercise, for that matter. But basically the flame war known as EVE is normal.
Super Bowl Sunday is coming up, and across the world people will gather around their Thanksgiving leftovers and talk football. They'll debate who's the best football player in their division, do some armchair quarterbacking, and curse and yell at the TV.
We're doing the same thing, but we're nerds so we argue about games. This game.
CCP is the NFL, ISD are the crooked refs, and we're the nerds.
The flame wars are nothing to feel guilty about. Nerds.

Only americans are willing to sit through 5 hours of advertisements and listen to bad music during breaks just to see 11 minutes of game play.
Sounds quite a lot of a normal blob fleet tbh. |

Yeah. People around the world will gather around for a game made by the yanks that only the yanks find important..... sounds realistic...almost as realistic as Santa and the Easter Bunny being real.

Unlike the excitement (that the rest of the world enjoys) of watching 22 grown men in short shorts kick a ball around a pitch as if their arms magically stopped working for 90+ minutes to score MAYBE 1 or 2 goals per game.
The above is mainly why we enjoy watcing 11 minutes of armored warfare instead of 'real football' lol. |

According to most Americans Football is a world famous sport. According to most non-Americans it's a weird niche sport only played in the USA.
Which of course plays nicely into your comparison as EvE is, according to a lot of people, a weird niche game.
Now as I am supposedly a crooked ref, I am going to lock this thread as I did not receive ''incentives' to let it stay open....
