Featuring my first fights is my pilgrim and curse.

Right click link on this site
Stay tuned for better fights :D
ps: for some lame reason i cant make this a clickable link... if i try that the link takes you to the error page on eve files.
I have been trying to resolve this problem for 3 days now and eve-files freezes my upload after 2 mins. if somebody can make this a 'right-click-save-as' link that would be awesome!

Thats what comes up ^

i almost felt asleep.
Well... to be honest, the intro is very nice, the music is perfect for this video. The fights are 90% ganks (sure curse is a gang ship mainly) and those few pilgrim clips are quite.. boring. Most entertaining was the omen kill Video: 'Behind enemy lines' Queen of the Amazones |

Edit : Points for Dire Straits though.

ehm i second that its mostly gank but ok , taking that prophecy afk in a belt in MAI ??!
common its a dead end 0.4 system with no low sec systems on it attached so no one is pirating there anyway , its a carbear heaven system and always will be
srry to say but i dont' think these kills are worth showing
( i like the intro and visual effects though )

Well, i thought it showed promise.
Your choice of music was reasonable, but the complete gank footage in the first half kinda lowered the tone. One of the fights looked alot like a BS, a couple of cruisers and some frigs taking a rather long time to take down a Cyclone
also, you got jammed by a blackbird and said it was a lucky jam... but a blackbird is a highly specialized jamming ship, bit more than just luck...
Hope you decide to make another, maybe wait a little longer to get alot of footage of great fights. ----- Move along, nothign to see here... |

Its a recon, even a BB/Rook jamming is lucky due to high sensor strength. They are pretty hard to jam.

Thankyou for your thoughts. Ill agree after looking at it more from a 'hard core pvp' point of view that some of the fights are a bit lame. but like i said. ( better fights still to come )
Im still trying to figure out how to raise the speed of the footage so its not so slow-paced. if somebody can tell me how do do that on vegas that would be great.
neways recon 5 is only a few days away so i guess if ganking NPCer Battleships is the 'in' flavour for solo pvp vids then i shouldnt have a problem.

Right click on the clip on the timeline -> properties -> Playback rate. Its a multiplier (1.0 normal, 1.5 50% faster etc etc.) vegas does an odd thing where it wont shorten the length of the clp when you accelerate it, it just loops back to the start when the accelerated clip ends and plays till you reach the point where the full clip ends, you gotta resize it manually, but it snaps to the end of the first playthough. if you see what i mean... ----- Move along, nothign to see here... |

i was wondering why you had nutes on your set up nos is so much better. It takes it from them and gives it to you, there by letting you run your armor rep, jammers, disrupter all the time with out having a cap problem, while the nute will kill your cap just as fast as it does yours.
but just wondering why, but it seems to work ok i guess....

Actually not even close due to ship bonuses, plus best named neuts and good energy emissions skill with take it even further... also work for disabling a ship REALLY fast, once you get them to 0 cap they wont be generating much cap anyways, thus an additional nos wouldnt help much. For disabling weapons or crippling tanks nothing can beat a neutralizer, many people run 1 neut on a pilgrim/curse for this reason. If it didn't have the ship bonus I might completly agree but you can neutrailize so effiently it is very effective. We are talking about 360 cap for 112.5 cap every 12 seconds on curse/pilgrim with maxed skills, versus 72 cap every 6 seconds with maxed skills with nos. It nets you 2.5x faster cap drain then a nos. Why tank them longer when you can disable/kill them faster? I am not even a Amarr Recon pilot :)

It shows. While you're both wrong (Neutralizers never kill your own cap as fast as they do theirs if you have the skills to use them, they are always a transaction you lose less from than the target), there is a good reason to go all Nos on a Pilgrim/Curse.
It's pretty simple really, it comes down to how much recovery nos you have once the targets cap is dry, and how far into his hitpoint buffer you are by that point. The further into the buffer you are by the time his cap actually dies, the better for you - and the bigger your drainage at 0 cost, the more of his regen you'll get (as well as recover from his heavy nos).

I can kind of see where your coming from, but I dont think that 1-2 neutralizers on these ships is completly without merit, you can always turn the neutralizer off, it isnt stuck on.
