Maybe you should have noted what about it that upset you rather than just writing down whatever came to mind?

indeed I find the new Pirate invasion level 4 mission to be much much better than the old ridiculusly boring and time consuming one
Its only mordus Headhunters lvl 4 that the new version made it a lot harder but even then theres so much loot and bounties that compensates the difficulty :D
I Like the new missions a lot. They did improve them compared to the generics 'warp to xxxx place with xxx numbers of ships to kill etc' .
so ye, whats wrong with pirate invasion ? -----------------------------------------------

My guess would be that either the OP found it difficult (in which case, sorry but them's the breaks) or more likely found his framerate dropping to insanely low levels, mostly due it seems to the sheer amount of set-dressing that has been placed in the first real room. Multiple "Shipyard: Dark" models overlaid on each other seem to be about half the problem, the debris clumps and such the rest. Experiments on multiple missions have seen framerates climb from single digits to around 15 with the destruction of all "wanted" Large Collidable Objects (after the destruction of all rat ships and loot containers). There are several other missions where dust clouds (Vengeance for example) cause problems, strange asteroid tornados (Duo of Death (level 4) IIRC) or large numbers of enemy ships and scenery (The Spy Stash (level 3)) will cut framerates but Pirate Invasion is definitely the most noticable.

I seem to get the invasion mission quite a lot now. Before, the changes the old version would show up less often, and there was a tougher, longer version called "pirate slaughter". That one in deadspace would be a tough one.
The OP may have lost a ship to this mission. It is very easy to lose a ship in this mission.
The mission itself is fine, just the frequency is a bit much.
