I was told the deeper you venture into 0.0 the better spawns you are supposed to get. So i made a little experiment and chained for about 2 days in 2 system the one with a real sec rating of 0.34 and in one system with a sec rating of 0.03. The funny thing was that the higher rated system was way more luctrative. Had decent up to 1,7mil bs spawns and even a domination cruiser showed up^^. Anyway in the 0.03 system i think the best spawn after 3-4 hours of hunting was a double Angel Commander spawn (5000k). So my question is was i just lucky in the 0.34 or is the eveinfo.com info outdated or not accurate? Is the lower the sec rating just the better the spawns just bull?

I'm not sure.
Was the higher sec rating system in Curse and the other not ?

Exactly, if the 0.03 system was in an NPC-controlled region you'll get good spawns regardless of security level.

0.0 systems range from -1 to 0, with -1 systems tending to be the most lucrative. You can usually tell the hidden sec status by nature of the roids available in the belts.

I usually use Ombey's 2d maps to determine true security level.
But i have alwasy wondered, how do you determine that number while in game.

Yea if you were in 0.0 then it was a -0.34 and a -0.03 system.
A 0.34 true sec system would be a lowsec 0.3 and no way would you see any battleships at all there. -----
