So I know it's possible to configure race/school combos to get at least a (probably very few) toons to start with a skill at rank 5. (Did one for leadership a couple of days ago just to test it).
Does anyone know if it's possible to configure one to start with Industry rank 5? I thought I'd seen one while I was configuring the Leadership one, but I'll be damned if I can figure it out again.
Or has lack of sleep finally caught up with me, and it's just simply not possible to do that with a toon?

Yeah, that'd be handy too.
And unfortunately, EVEmon refuses to work at all on my rig. Not sure if there's a way to calculate it w/ EVEmon (I'm sure there is) - but I've yet to be able to get it to work. =(

This drives me insane. It's LEVEL 5, not RANK 5. Rank determines the speed and difficulty of a skill, Level is the amount of skillpoints put into that particular skill.
If I had an isk for everytime someone confused those two, I'd own a few Titans by now.

The only skills you can start with at level 5 are Science (Caldari Achura), and Gunnery (Gallente Jin-Mei and Amarr Khanid).

And being as how I've been in this game barely over a week, as I only just recently was able to afford a new computer that could actually run this game (wanted to play for years, money situation doesn't always cooperative though. Go figure) - not knowing the ins and outs of every piece of terminology that you prefer as it relates to the game hasn't really been a top priority for me. At all, really.
In fact, I doubt it will in the future either.
Thanks to the next poster after you, though. That bit of info is handy (well, and can add Leadership to those other two you show as being able to start *aaahahahahah, gonna say it now just for Callisto* RANK5.
Good luck in your attempts to be constructive in the future. Hope that works out for ya.

I was having a problem with evemon crashing, but it was because I didn't have the latest version. Perhaps you are experiencing the same?

Nice witty retort. When someone posts in here I assume they've been playing "more than barely over a week". Perhaps you should have posted in the first forum entitled "New to Eve Q&A Forum"? (or whatever its called)
And you didn't have to take it Soooo personally. You are one of hundreds that confuse the two, especially in-game. It makes conversing with newbies that much more difficult when they themselves, confuse the two and start thinking that a you can get a Rank 1 skill to Level 10....
