hi guys, jus wondering how to really tank an enyo, lvl 3 / 4 missions, im not really too fussed about damage dealing, my T2 blasters to enough, but i need to know how to get the most out of my tanking, atm, only passive hardners, active by the end of the week. sK this is my sig |

Linky to the ship setup index of the ships & mods fora. there are plenty discussions about enyo and all other ships in it where u can find suggestions, fittings, tips and tactical stuff.

I think you shouldn't really tank an enyo, I tried this a few time and tested it against some m8s, and the tank just gimps the setup.
For example tank uses to much cpu/pg so you have to fit smaller guns, and so on.
I was more successfull with mag stabs to boost damage.
If someone thinks tanked enyos are great, I would really appreciate if he could post the fitting he uses.

Edited by: Guillame Herschel on 01/09/2006 18:38:29 This works well for missions and ratting and all-round whatever: High: 4x 125mm II, 1x Arbalest Standard Launcher Mid: 1x AB II, 1x Cap Recharger (I use F-b10) Low: 1x SAR II, 1x named DC, 2x Mag Stab II
Orbit at 9000m and use anti-matter. Take out scram and web frigs first, then the rest of the frigates, then the cruisers, then take out the turrets. Except Sentry II turrets - take those out after the web and scram frigs. I haven't tried any level 4s with this setup, though. I imagine BS rats will have an even harder time hitting me than cruisers, but I understand there are more webber frigs, which are deadly if not dealt with first.
You won't take much damage if you keep moving, except on approach. Always orbit something. A hefty tank is not all that important and 50%+ resists on your hull from the DC give you plenty of time to escape if you need to. You don't have the cap to run the SAR constantly but if you are using correct tactics, you won't need to use it but every now and then.

thanks, but i dont really need a lesson, i know how to do the missions, its just a new ship, so not as used to setups is all. sK this is my sig |

i like the sound of this one, the only diff i have is i dont use the mag stab, 125 II's with antimatter seems to do enough damage atm, if i support in lvl 4's i'll deffo use this setup this is my sig |

I've been tinkering with Enyo setups for the last few days, my goal is to be able to run the MWD forever while maintaining a stabile gain on my Capacitor so i can run my repper in bursts. My only defence is my speed and the Damage control to make full use of that good amount of structure on the Enyo.
According to Quickfit this setup gets about 124.6 dps but i dont trust the math in quickfit after i got -40dps on a crow when calculating a Ravens DPS to smaller targets.
Anyway, i've flown the Ishkur alot so i got a good idea of how much the Incursus hull can take in punishment. Aslong as you steer away from high end Minimatar players this setup should work well in theory if the tracking bonus given by the AF skill has a significant effect on the blasters accuracy while mwding in orbit(Anyone got some info on that?).
Once CCP gets a working client out in the download section so i can play the game again i'll do some testing on this.
Edit: Of course i typed all this **** not realizing you want a ratting setup lol. Doh !

Thats a pretty good setup, for a stronger tank you could switch in an adaptive nano mebrane or 2.
As for blasters VS rails.
With blasters you have an incredibly short range, however this only ever causes problems if you are faced with high-orbit web/scram NPCs. Great damage though, so its worth it i guess.
Rails, poor damage, I was struggling to take some 0.0 BS today with my Enyo with 125mm IIs, but good rage, good for things faster than you that like to play hard to get. ----- Move along, nothign to see here... |
