well, ok. maybe just lust (or should that be "serious pheromone attraction" for those who just can't imagine Caldari have passions??). But anyway...
Ran into an agent who really turned my head. He's Caldari Navy (my favorite uniforms), Security devision, near a minor hub in Citadel space - and he's driving me crazy because he won't do anything but be strictly business. No flirtation. No small talk. No sense of humor. Just assignments and contracts and "Thanks, I knew we could count on you." Acts like he doesn't hear me when I ask if he'd like to meet for drinks when he's off duty.
It's doubly irritating because I don't usually look twice at men. Women are so much easier to approach. Or maybe he doesn't like my forthrightness. I don't know. I wasn't in the room when they handed out the 'coy' genes.
Feh.
Anyone else ever manage to get something going on with an agent??

I have an agent like that, Shanaya... Well he used to be, but once I got my standing up to 9.0 with him, he became all flirty.
"Be careful out there now, ya hear?" "Wonderful to see you!"
I almost feel bad for him and I want to tell him that it won't work due to certain *ahem* differences in prefrence. Then again, if I did he'd probably stop giving me implants. ---

There is indeed something in the air this year. I too have a fellow pod pilot that sits very dear to my heart at the moment. I owe her a great deal of gratitude too for being the reason to pull myself out of a dark place I had become too comfortable with. I only have to think of the name Sh'Khari and my heart stirs. ------

Where I'm from, business and pleasure share a common word, and most agents I've encountered tend to share my sentiments. It's been a while since I've worked in the State, but perhaps earning a place in his heart would be helping him earn a promotion?
Or...perhaps if he's just not getting it(like most men), just walk into his office as bare as your head and he might notice.

Here's an idea for ya: Next time you have a meeting, do it in a private boardroom. Make it all official and such, all kosher. Then when he wanders in, present him with a nice dinner and such. Don't go over the top. Just do some uh ... polite inquiries and such into his personal life. Make smalltalk.

I had a one night stand with an agent I worked with in Tsugwa. I had just finished clearing out a large amount of Guristas in Tama, and it seemed that impressed her. It didn't last, mainly because the missions she was authorized to give me just weren't challenging anymore.
My advice is to find someone outside of the Agent buisness. They come and go, and don't get promoted very often, so best to find someone more in accordance with your own line of work. _____________________________________

Perhaps you might find some companionship there? Of course, the guys at the 68er Bar'n'grill sometimes get a bit lonely. I'm sure we could find you someplace to get a bit of excercise. Maybe you'd like an opportunity to see the piece one of my misileers shot off a billboard in panic when I last went to empire a few months ago? Apparently the man had never seen one before, thought it was a new kind of rat. I gave the man a raise and a free "Empire Cultures" class, hung a bit of the billboard over my bed ( ) and never looked back. If you like, I can give you a look up at it. I'll even pay for drinks. Hell, for that matter, I've probably even got a stash of the green left from my days in Huzzah. I don't mind sharing in the least.

Maybe I'm old fashioned, even for a Caldari, but why not try the traditional rituals of invitation?
For those who arn't exactly initiated one way to start a personal relationship with a business associate is that the employee (the one taking the job) who is interested in a relationship will at an appointment "forget" a small decent, but personal (and one that gives hints about the intent) item of small monetary worth. When he or she is contacted by the employer to return the item he (the employee) will politely say that he cannot pick up that item at this time due to other appointments and suggest that they meet up later at another location (preferably one of the more aesthetical forms of bloodsport). The employer can either agree (and thus show that he or she is interested) or insist that the item is picked up at the place of business (which means that they're not interested, or interested in a purely ehm, erotic relationship). At the meeting both give hints at which nature the relationship should take (if there is to be one at all) It can of course be more intricate if you follow all the rules of etiquette but those are the basics, or rather one of the basics.
In essence, practical, considerate and leaving enough hints for even the densest to understand the implications yet subtle enough so that both can deny that anything ever happened and as such preserve their business relationship. Of course the younger generation takes more cues, to my dissapointment, from the Gallente.

Nothing ventured, nothing gained? I like that attitude. Hell, yesterday I ventured my covops out there for burn eden, and then listened over a mug of chilled beer back home as my corp brought down one of their ravens. Play for top or bottom? But that's so easy to trade off, especially considering the average stamina of people as fit as pod pilots . . . now who gets the whips and candles, and who gets tied up, now that's worth playing for.
Also, my personal null grav personal combat practice room rode out of 5-N in my scorpion's cargo hold during the evacuation . . . perhaps you'd care to try it for a different sort of contest? Or perhaps both types, if you fancy sparring first?
