Just got my shiny new Harpy and I'm eager to try it out on something living. Can anyone suggest a good solo Harpy setup, or offer any advice about it, for that matter? 
I'm thinking about this setup for lone wolfing it in 0.0:
Hi: 4x T2 125s / Arby Standard
Med: T2 Small SB / 20k Warp Disruptor / Invul. Field / Webber (?) or T2 Small Extender (?)
Low: T2 Mag Stab / Damage Control

Get a Gistii A-Type shield booster. It's worth every penny.

Yes, please fit one of those to a solo Harpy so I can get rich if I come across you.
On a less humourous note, that's a really bad idea until you have a lot of solo experience. AFs, despite being T2 ships, are still just glorified frigates and they die very easily without a competent pilot at the helm.
With regards to fitting, you need a speed mod of some kind on there. I always fit MWDs to my AFs so I can test the below-web range, but others prefer ABs to keep the sig radius manageable. If you're going long range then AB is enough, unless you're hunting interceptors. The tank might need patching a bit, it's quite hard to tackle and shield tank at the same time.

Change the shield extender for a tech2 cap charger or a high end named tech 1. Invuln field is kinda redundant as you already have high thermal and kenetic resists, you're main weakness is EM. If you're going to stick to sniping, you might be able to pull of shield boosting, but I wouldn't fit a gistii booster on there unless you know you're REALLY good and not going to lose the ship in pvp, otherwise they are great when used against NPCs. I rarely ever fit a warp disruptor on my Harpy, mainly due to CPU issues when fitted with 4 tech2 150s. The tech2 Mag stab in the lows is a good idea, but not so sure on the dmg control, I suppose if you're worried about getting into structure you're not too confident in your ability to pvp in it. I'd go with a tech 2 tracking mod instead, even on my 150s it gives me just enough of a boost that I can hit an oribiting at 1km vigil, know this from real pvp experience.
Oh, and i'd also suggest changing the arby standard to an arbalest rocket launcher to fire defenders from. If you want to fire missile from your AF go with the Hawk, thats it bread and butter, the harpies is its guns.

Harpy really isn't a very good ship for solo pvp, tbh. I think it's much more at home when it has a few other ships with it. Either way, I'd change the fittings a bit. Try 150's and a rocket launcher in your high slots.
Personally, i think defenders are a waste of time atm, so i usually fit phalanx rockets. in the mid slots, i'd recommend a sensor booster, 2x webbers, and a tracking computer. and in low a mag field stab and a small rep. That setup *should* only require advanced weapon upgrades 3, but i'm not positive. I'm generally not a fan of fitting 125's on a harpy because it takes away the only advantage you really have, range. If you take advantage of the range and fly smart you won't really need an uber tank.

I love my harpy and PvP in it all the time. I have 4 t2 150's and a t2 standard launcher in the hi's. The mids i use a type A gistii shield booster , 20km scram, and 2 named cap rechargers. Low's i have a t2 cpu and a t2 mag field stabilizer. I can insta pop most frigs and industrials. If i have a web on instead of a jammer i can take on a ceptor. The biggest i have taken is a brutix with this setup. Took a little while but prevailed in the end. Just orbit at 15KM and start to shred.

Not to hijack the thread, but how can you justify putting a 140M Gistii booster on that thing? The AB, sure, but come on... |
