Update from the Q-CAB2 system, 52-JKU constellation, Tribute: [IMAGE]
I'm not liking how large that thing is getting.

And for those of us who don't think entirely in death and murder, the thing you want to get past a biometric lock if you don't match the biometric data it's looking for is either a convincing genetic disguise or a very good hacker.

That's not a saucer, that's a prominence, a very common feature of stars. It's not a common feature of core-collapse supernovas, however.

Elmund Egivand wrote:Get an exploration frigate equipped with data analyzer. Problem solved. I suspect you might need some slightly more specialised equipment to break a biometric lock. The sort of systems most capsuleers are used to hacking are fairly insecure due to the fact that they tend to be the sort of system which needs to be accessed by a lot of different entities on a regular basis, and so has many open ports and running applications. A biometric lock only needs to do one specific thing - check provided biometric data against its authentication database. If it matches, it'll let you in - if it doesn't, it won't. Hacking a biometric lock involves finding a way to interface with it other than by providing biometric data and then convincing it either that you've provided a valid match with its authentication database or simply forcing it to open the door.
The standard Guristas mainframe or Sansha databank is never going to be as secure because they're built with compatibility and ease-of-access in mind.

I need some information from people who have access to the "shattered wormhole" systems. I have a hypothesis, and it needs some testing.
Saerin Korvalu took this picture of one of the violent, non-traversable wormholes in the shattered systems. The nebula visible through the wormhole is very clearly Cloud Ring, but it took me a while to work out where it was being viewed from. After spending some time looking at various nebula images, I determined that the closest match is the view from Pure Blind. Now, as you may have noticed, this doesn't perfectly match the view through the wormhole - until you flip it upside down. The wormhole's refracting light, so this isn't surprising.
Now, the fact that the nebula visible puts the destination system of these wormholes in Pure Blind is particularly significant, because that region contains the 38G6-L constellation, home of none other than our erstwhile friends the Servant Sisters of EVE, who have a very clear but undefined relationship to the recent goings-on.
Can people take a look at the Epicenter location in the shattered wormholes and in Thera, and tell me if the Pure Blind nebula is visible through them as well?

Good work, Eran! That is undisputedly Pure Blind visible through that wormhole - you can tell by the presence of the bright blue Lonetrek nebula.
Also, an update - following a notion given to me by Xindi Kraid, I checked Pure Blind for systems with A0-class stars. It has two such systems - ROIR-Y, which is within the Sisters of EVE home constellation, and KQK1-2, which is owned by TNT. I didn't find any evidence of a wormhole generation device, but there is one of those mysterious mostly-cloaked crystalline structures here which these Circadian Sleepers seem very interested in.
