Hi all,
I've been looking for scale models of the ships in EVE for agaes now, and nothing has been jumping out at me.
I've had an idea, if I could import the 3D models from EVE into Blender, then convert them to an STL file, I could get them run through a 3D printing service thats local to me.
How would I go about this? wheres the files location?
Also, would it be a breach of the user agreement? I wouldn't be making any profit from it, just something cool to put on a shelf above my PC.

Sounds like a bloody good idea to me... if CCP can't supply the models we want, why the hell not.
I'd be interested in the Sansha ship models.
I'm amazed that this hasn't been done before. |

Some people already do this.
It's a good idea, and I'd honestly like to see the printed models after people have applied paintwork to them. |

You can make as many models as you wish for yourself, however the moment you consider selling any of them you will need written permission from CCP as it is their intellectual property. So far they have given out 0 such permissions.
