If he scammed the amount of money i'd be certainly worth to make it into the news, but has it ever been confirmed from a 'neutral' third party or even better ccp? -------------------------------------- Agent & Mission-Info: http://www.eveinfo.com |

Oh, the scam is real (tee-hee)
There were several complaints made about the scam to CCP infact, and it's my understanding that CCP said it was all fine and dandy...
It's built into the game that people can be stupid with money. Not only can they be stupid with money, but other players could be inclined to take advantage of their financial stupidity.
Money is capitalism, and capitalism is a predatory business. It makes you wonder if people will ever realize how dangerous capitalism can be to those who don't pay close attention. Note that I call the people who play EVE stupid with their money, and people in the real world who fall victims to scams simply inattentive. Despite the brain wracking variety, EVE's economy is still generally simple because of what the players have decided to focus on, but in the real world however the majority of people aren't stupid, rather they're inattentive about certain issues. And from that, well, you get Nron(sp), thousands of "do it yourself: home business" tapes, et cetera. This is the same thing.
Now, he has 790billion ISK, and he can play with faction ships and equipment without breaking a sweat. To be honest I wouldn't give a left arm for that kind of money in EVE, otherwise I'd have nothing to work for. ________________________________________________ "Oh me? I carebear." |

Esaka isnt questioning if the scam is real, hes wondering if the amount of money is real. Some say the money stolen is a lot lower then 800 billion, so far no real proof has been posted that Dentara truely stole that much. - = - = - = -

Yup. The only "proof" consists of a purposely low-quality screenshot saved in such low detail that its impossible to verify.
There is no evidence other than Dentara's own claims (probably lies) that he took more than 100 billion, or even more than 50 billion.

Somehow all those sites fail to mention that accounts found trading isk for RL cash get banned hard and fast so their ingame-outofgame calculations are pretty moot. --*=*=*--
