Wouldn't it be cool if some planets or atroidbelts were named differently? For example after some emporor or big corporation or something else from the storyline? It would be cool with a Planet in FD-MLJ called m0o or Stavros. There are so many boring planets and astroidbelts just named "Planet I", "Astroidbelt I blablabla". Thats just an example but what what do you think of the idea?

I like the idea. I mean you can pay to name stars in real life why not in eve. And i mean if someone names something starvos and you dont like it, you'd just have to pay more ISK to change it.

AFK shelling of that planet with wellcapped lasers would be a corporate requirement for one, getting to name the moon orbiting Stavros BUttg0bL1n would be the next natural step.

Negotiator, you ***** to much. I swear over half your posts have something to complain about. This is kinda a good idea... pay to have planets named. Make it cost like 100mil or more and then there wouldnt be as many to name. How long could it take them to name one ?

ppl will name them Earth, Mars, 1337, Jonny WAS HERE and stuff like that. bad idea... not the first time it was proposed either.

afaik planet ownership is on the "one day" feature list (somewhere after stations, possibly before titans since a titan supposedly takes the minerals of a small moon to build  ..) I'd imagine at such a time as you can buy/claim one and build a colony or mining op on it youl be able to name it too

Ok some of you have misinturpeted what I meant about this. I meant that only a few planets/suns/astroidbelts/moons would be named after something/someone. For example if you would name a planet in Amarr after the now dead amarr emporor, or name something after a big war that accorured, I don't know, these are just examples and I'm sure people can come up with good ideas that many people can agree on to name something after. But only a selected few suns, planets etc...and not the whole of EVE would have named things. And this will of course only be done by CCP so that they can control the names and so on, so that no one has billions and billions of money and then names a planet after a website or "Johnny WAS HERE" as someone mentioned.
