We have ORE Industrial and ORE Freighter
Wouldn't it be better to add ORE to Mining Frigate, Mining Barge and Exhumer too? |

There are four other racial skills for both industrial and freighter. There are no racial skills for mining frigate, barge or exhumer. Same as there are no racial skills for T2 ships. |

It is inconsistent to name one ship Mining, the other ORE and the third Industrial, will be easier for new players to find out how to system works if it was named like the faction ship skills - it is also common for new players to have trouble finding the mining ships in ISIS.
Currently there is:
Mining Frigate -> Expedition Frigate.
Mining Barge -> Exhumer.
ORE Industrial -> Industrial Command Ship -> Capital Industrial Ships.
ORE Freighter.
So the ORE ships have 3 prefix names, Mining, ORE and Industrial (or 4 if you count the Capital for the Rorqual). Meaning you have to find them 4 different places in the skill list, and it is impossible to see from the names they are related.
Naming them all Mining instead of ORE doesn't really make sense. The Noctis and Bowhead isn't used for mining, and the other T1 ship skills are named after their faction, not what they do. So a rename could look like:
ORE Frigate -> Expedition Frigate.
ORE Barge -> Exhumer.
ORE Industrial -> ORE Command Ships -> ORE Capital Ship.
ORE Freighter.
ORE Barge could also be named ORE Cruiser to be clear on what size ships they are comparable to. Exhumer could be Mining Cruiser (comparable to Assault Frigate), describing use and ship size in the name.
ORE Industrial is a bad name, as it is not a transport ship like other Industrials, maybe something like ORE Salvage Ships.
ORE Command Ship is bad name since it is also the name of T2 Battlecruisers. Orca isn't a T2 ship and the skill only applies to one faction, not all factions like the T2 skill Command Ships does. Orca is also a large ship where the Command Ships are medium. Something else would be more suitable, maybe ORE Fleet Support Ships.
A more describing name set:
ORE Frigate -> Expedition Frigate.
ORE Cruiser -> Mining Cruisers.
ORE Salvage Ships -> ORE Fleet Support Ships -> ORE Capital Ships.
ORE Freighter. |
