Greetings once more, explorers!
With Rhea approaching us, we have another new site waiting to be explored named the Standard Sleeper Cache. Much like the limited version, this is an exploration site that offers a slightly different challenge than you may normally be expecting.
The Standard Sleeper Cache plays out a little differently than the smaller limited version, and due to the nature of its puzzle elements I won't reveal many details. There are choices to be made, extreme dangers to find, and some surprises to stumble upon.
This version will however will allow larger ships to dive further into the site, instead of the Frigate only limited site.
Additionally, this is now the most complex exploration site to scan down. Using scan modules to help acquire a 100% scan will be advisable, as well as some good probes.
To help, here is a list for where you can find the site to give it a try:

Odds are a Stratios or scanny/hacky T3 would do it, Phoenix Jones. ;)
Paradox, I'll get my scanny alt onto Sisi and poke one of 'em.

I'm pretty sure that's the plan, and I'm expecting these sites to have the potential to kill the pilot.
Just fyi, someone will arguably deploy a encounter system boey in the middle of one of these clouds, making it probably impossible to retrieve or obtain without a carrier.
Basically it makes swiping the isk impossible for people, unless they jump a carrier into it.

So. Have it at 70.9 at .5 AU scan with a Strat with a gravity capacitor I rig, 5/4/4 skills, and virtues, using Sisters gear. .25 naturally pinned it. Without Virtues, a dedicated cov ops or T3 scanning ship near-max may be needed.
Also, new weird thing. While hacking, numbers appear in the circles. Wat? These seem to be all 1s, 2s, 3s, rarely 4s. Is this distance to nearest good-thing? (after various hacking, yes, this is the distance to nearest core, upgrade, or unknown node)
Like the cloaked versions of the various cache bits.
Now, in the site itself. It's an interesting-looking puzzle at the outset. Presumably, the idea is to try to get the pilot to disable the defenses before flinging themselves across the way. I did the depots first, and triggered the alarm-- but missed the alarm buoy next to the depot. 60 seconds is a good time period-- IF people notice the buoy. People might not notice it initially. Because I missed it until twenty seconds later and had headed to the other defense buoy, I ran out of time while trying to sprint through the hack. The guardian extermination buoy deployed, initially the clouds did no damage, then they did it at a phenomenal rate. My plated Stratios was at about 20% armor by the time I MWDd out of the cloud to the new rift area. :x Obviously, this'll kill frigates easily-- and probably any unsuspecting cruisers as well. Sort of brutal. I assume the defense beacon in the first stage turns off the alarm? I'll try on a second site.
After the alarms, the sentries were active, so I then attempted to disable the defense buoy at the central point-- this seemed to help? But not honestly not much. So I activated the tractor array, which functioned, and pulled the 'impenetrable depots' over and made them dented depots, but due to damage constraints I took the rift that had appeared in the center point to run to the cloaked depot area.
I then decloaked everything using the defense buoy, began hacking depots, and then mid-way through used the self-destruct buoy to reset the destruct timer. At that point, I finished hacking-- and decided to hang about to see if the self-destruct would destroy my ship, which was already badly damaged.

114 scan strength scanned it down with no difficulty. I think you could get it with less with manual movement of probes.

My area was about the same. I disarmed the alarm, unlocked the X Y Z coordinators and flung over to the conclave structure. The sentries were easy to tank/kill. I hacked all the cans there, then slow boated to the tractor beam, which after activating did nothing.

Alright. So, first site was in Otitoh. I'm running my second in Tierijev. Report to follow. So far, everything seems to function.
One thing. The cloaked bits in the entry room look sort of like old-style cloaks-- non-hex.
Now, into the site itself. Defeating the alarm unit was relatively easy-- standard red core hack. Defeating it also revealed a shiny Pristine depot, which was awesome. Completed hacking the depots. This time, I think I'll get a chance to hack the Coordinate Plotting Devices, so will check those out now.
Alright. Completed hacking all CPDs, dropped into the 'high power' remote calibration unit. [no messageID: 298188] in text field, [no messageID: 298189] in header.
So-- got to the far side, engaged the sentries, and popped the defense buoy, sending another sentry to the middle. Now I'm hacking the various depots on the far side.
Things to note at mid-stage on site two: the rear area defensive buoy still reports 'back-line defense,' and getting to the mid-line after clearing the rear reports that I've activated a dormant sentry, even though said sentry is already active. (later note: this also happened with the next sentry in the middle.)
Bug: after hacking the tractor beam when all rear-area depots are complete, the local post is, "...powered down permanently, any further hacking..." This seems to imply failure, even though I was successful. Further, the tractor array beacon doesn't show as accessed or hacked. Ideally, it'd report a successful hack, and then power down as there are no unaccessed depots-- "The Tractor Beam has powered down permanently, as all depots in its range have been ransacked."
Thoughts, having done two. It seems like it's almost easier to let the alarm trigger, and then to race to the secret second room. I used the long-range calibration, though, so I don't know if the short-range calibration also activates the secret room rift.
Edit; Ayallah, I can try doing a third and see abut a video of it. :x But first, break, coffee, gym.

This site was a blast, just when i think the limited sleeper cache was the best you bring this gem out.
The only thing i could think to improve on the site is to make it have multiple deadspace pockets rather than just the one. You could do this by having return gates in the pockets so one would not have to warp out and then back into the site to finish it.
I was able to scan down the sites with a Proteus, all scanning skills to 5 and T2 core probe launcher with sisters probes, strength 108.3 standard scanning tricks were needed to get to 100% without those it was at 95% i believe a sisters probe launcher would have solved this. I even had a set of mid-grade virtue implants to slowly plug them in to see how many were needed.
It would be nice to see more interactive hacking content like this, as i said in the limited sleeper cache thread, these should be the model of hacking just not all at the same difficulty.

Nice site, but not really new mechanics. I tried one site with a passive buffer tank fitted Tengu. No hacking/scanning rigs. It said 85k EHP ingame and 200dps. You need both hacking modules.
- Scanning was no problem [157 strenght] and I found it in under 2 minutes. - First room was just a security container that activated a warpgate (I failed it first and it said self destruct in xx minutes - I think it was 2 minutes. Second hack was no problem) - Second room is pretty large. Refer to linked screenshots. 3 clusters of stuff inside (spread to 200km), 3 sentries that activate after you fail some stuff: -> First cluster "Interlink Hub": Pretty much hacking 3 containers to active a warpgate. This warps you JUST INSIDE this room. So I think you can ignore it. You can set it to one of the other 2 clusters - but only to one of them. In addition to this, there were some hackable containers and a security container (You can use it to switch the sentrie range to one of the clusters I think). I failed one container and it spawned some gas clouds that did quite some damage to me. But no problem for the Tengu at all. After some minutes it said "malfunction" in chat and the damage output stopped. -> Second cluster "Tractor Beam Unit". Hack it and it spawns you 6 containers. Nothing more. It also activated a second, hidden warpgate that links to room 3. -> Third one was a sleeper station. You have to fly around it to "decloak" some containers. Thats all.
-Third room is just one security container - hack it and it spawnes 5 containers with stuff and activates a 5 minute destruction timer. In addition, it spawns a reset container for the countdown to reset it ONCE.
Loot in screenshots.
It takes about 20-60 minutes to collect all, depending on your skills and fitting. I warped out once to try if it despawns, re-entering the site was no problem. The sentries have a lot of HP.
So in my opinion its nothing extraordinary (if you have good skills and equip) + the loot is not the best at all. Or I was just unlucky. For less experienced players this could be a good challenge.

Quite rare sites, I will try to update every day the locations of a few in High/Low/Null
There are a few missing messages, these will be fully in today's patch but I wanted to get the site out yesterday to get some testing on it done.
The numbers in the hacking window are actually the distance you are away from a data cache.
The tractor beam "powering down" means that it has done its job, and tractored the depots that can be found at the far end of the site. You have a choice of either going to the far end of the site and dealing with the sentries, or using the tractor beam.
And as some people have mentioned, there is more of the site to discover.

Are you sure on this? So it should pull the far 6 (cloaked) containers instead of spawning another 6? Because I went to the tractor beam first, getting aggro from all 3 sentries. It pulled me 6 containers. Then I used the long range calibrated warp gate to the far end of the site and found another 6 cloaked containers around the station thing. Sentrie aggro was gone at that point. So 15 depots in the second room in total. 3 at the warp thingy, 6 at the tractor beam and 6 at the far side station thing. |

Can you remember which system you were in? I did some testing with some of them, I may have left them in a weird state. I can't reproduce this normally with your steps. Did you do something before you went to the tractor beam after landing inside the site?

So. Getting to the Secret Room requires triggering the alarm. Basically, deal with the rest of the site, trigger the alarm, hack the secret room as well? Or does hacking the tractor beam when it has stuff to haul also trigger the secret room?

Paradox, I'll get my scanny alt onto Sisi and poke one of 'em.
I'm pretty sure that's the plan, and I'm expecting these sites to have the potential to kill the pilot. Just fyi, someone will arguably deploy a encounter system boey in the middle of one of these clouds, making it probably impossible to retrieve or obtain without a carrier. Basically it makes swiping the isk impossible for people, unless they jump a carrier into it.
Keep in mind CCP has previously said that frigates WILL be able to complete them, they will just have to be more wary of some hazards that would not otherwise be an instagib for say, a cruiser or bs.

I'm not going to lie. This site confused me a bit.
The words "frontline settings" and "backline settings" didn't make sense to me. I know what it refers to, but it's not clear what effect it has on the site.
And why does the backline defense sentries aggress me when I'm at the midline area of the site? Shouldn't those sentries only aggress me when I'm in the backline area?
This makes little sense to me..

My main concern about this site at present is that doing the first stage 'perfectly' disallows access to the hidden room. I'll play around with it some more.

So Getrenjesa is done and dusted.
Feedback: What Sir Livingston said.
I'd like to add that the tractor beam is acting a bit weird as it's not on the overview and adding it makes no sense as it is a LCO object.
In general, fitting a MWD is strongly recommended to beat some timers, as is a bit of tank, since the damage cloud is perfectly able to pop a Tengu fitted for hacking. *ahem* Moving swiftly on....
I recommend this site to people who really like the hacking game, other peeps might want to stay away. |

I attempted two of these sites last night on my exploration alt with excellent but not perfect scanning skills (mostly 4s), and perfect hacking skills. I was just short (98%) of scanning down the site using a Helios with hacking rigs, sister's equipment, no implants, and a single T1 pinpointing array.
Went back for a Stratios since I figured I would need the extra tank. Realized that a faction ship cannot fit 2 gravity cap rigs (only 350 calibration vs 400 for a T2 ship), or even 1 grav cap rig and either of the hacking rigs. So went with 1 grav cap rig, 1 trimark, and 1 aux nano pump rig. Otherwise, equipment was the same. The rig was sufficient for me to get 100%.
I'd like to point out that this alt has pretty bad combat skills, excepting navigation. She's a pretty decent inty pilot at least.
I had no problem hacking anything. She rarely fails a hacking attempt. But the sentry guns made things incredibly difficult. Like I said, crappy combat skills. Had to warp out. Repped up. Came back.... site gone.
Hard to test the site if it despawns as soon as I warp out. :S
Checked list. 14 jumps later, site gone. 8 jumps, found site. Went in... server down time. :S RIP my testing.
Coincidentally, my RAH had adjusted to 30/30 EM/Thermal resists. So the sentries do apx 50/50 EM/Thermal damage; typical sleeper turret damage profile. So next time I can fit a type-specific tank instead of an omni.
Those turret AI seems pretty decent. They would agro my drones if I sent them out to shoot a turret and then burned out of range. If I came back into range, they would switch back to me. I was able to tank 1 turret pretty much indefinitely by pulsing my meta 4 medium repper, and 2 turrets as long as I had a medium cap booster (200s) running. Unfortunately, it took forever for my less than well skilled faction hammerheads to chew through the sentry turret. Like, lost several of them. tbh, I didn't even see the point of having lasers. Would rather of had remote armor reps. But mah cap... Stratios has terribad cap.
One of the things that I noticed was that one of the rear sentries would aggro me as soon as I got within 50km of the nearest turret, while the other would not. Since switching one to front line only moves it to the mid position, I don't see how I'll be able to tank all 3, because I'm pretty sure I'll be getting shot by all three if I go out to the enclave.
I don't want to risk losing my ship since the sites seemed to despawn immediately after leaving. That being said, the second site I found was already partially run. So... which is it? Do they despawn on leaving or not?
I did not notice if the numbers in the hacking game corresponded to anything specific. But I can say that they are definitely not the distance to any node, a defensive node, or the system core. I regularly got defensive nodes next to high or low numbers.

If any of the containers at the end of the site (next to the sleeper enclave) are hacked successfully then the site is marked as "complete" and will begin the despawn process.
Will have a talk about frontline/backline to see if we can make that clearer.

Not sure if trolling, or very confused, but absolute maximum probe strength is about 210, with RSS scan probes, Sisters launcher, virtue set, 10% strength implant, t2 strength rig, and 3 t2 scan strength midslot modules.
So no, you do not have anywhere near 300 scan strength. As for not moving, I believe he meant without sticking to moving the probes in a formation. |

This is how all sites should look like. The best part was decloaking containers at huge structure. Good start to not showing all containers when warped on grid. CCP can we have some of those sentries in data sites? They should be guarded after all.

Nah. Not by rats, but systems that can be switch off by hacking. Some sort of non direct combat. Also it would make sense lorewise. Valuable items must be protected.
One thing is bothering me with those new sites, there are tons of cans to hack. I counted 24 total on some linked gif above.
Generally those sites contain all features i was hoping for. Harder to scan, more than one way to do it, even acutally cans to find (decloak), dangers on grid. Now, when you show me you can CCP, i will keep whining for changeing current data/relics in some of sleepers sites way and ofc improving hacking .
How much time does it take to build site like standard sleeper cache?

Thanks for the updated list, I've tried one of them, it was definitely interesting :)
I was a bit puzzled by the rift with the coordinates, as I went to it only after clearing all the room, to realize it was actually made to be used earlier.
Other than that, THANKS A LOT to the team that made possible to see the distance of the closest "beneficial" node, it really improves the skillcap of the minigame. Its less unfair, and more engaging.

I got a Standard Sleeper Cache on TQ. I failed to hack the alarm and panicked when it said there are defenders coming so I warped out. And the site vanished.
It'd be cool if there were at least a warning saying the site disappears if you warp out. Or don't make the site disappear, there should be other ways to force us to take that damage, like you take the damage when you return to the site (maybe with a delay and a message ("The defenders will arrive in 20 seconds.") so people can't set it up as a trap). |

There is. It's called looking at the scanner window and not seeing the site in the list of signatures.

Nobody forces you to take the damage. The site is doable in an astero.

But that's the best part of the site. You can kill other people with it which is awesome. |
