Hi all EVE Residents,
I have an issue with a Belkin DSL router, in which if i have TS or VENT on at the same time as my EVE is running I get disconnects. Client is fine if i am plugged directly into the DSL modem. But as soon as the router is involved disconnects happen every 5 mins or so. I have disabled firewall etc but have not managed to stop this from happening. Router is on latest firmware.
In light of this could anyone recommend a DSL router that they use in a similar way as above but do not suffer disconnects?
Many thanks in advanced
Regards EVE player wishing to play EVE whilst in voice communicado with fellow corp. members

Just a personal bump,
We must have people out their whom use a DSL router with eve and TS or Vent and don't suffer crashes that would be willing to tell me make and model. I shall do the rest.
I won't ask you to buy me one

Yea i tried that just leaving TS or VENT on does not cause the disconnects. Eve seems very sensitive towards client timeouts so it maybe that TS or Vent are not seeing the disconnects. But i have run a pingplotter tool and also had ethereal up capturing packets whilst running the two systems TS & VENT the trace files suggest the packets not being forwarded from the DSL router or the DSL modem disconnecting from the router. The problem is def local anyway.
I play no other Game but EVE.
I am pretty sure it is something odd about the router. It never hurts to have 2 routers so if i can get one that others on here use with the above conditions then i can rule it out for sure.

Friends don't let friends use Belkin.
Linksys does the job for me at home. WRT54G I think it is. I run EVE and TS, my housmate is on WoW and Ventrilio, and the other housemate seems to be trying to make his own local copy of the internet judging by his constant downloading.

I use an Alcatel Speed Touch Pro Router and run 4 systems from it all at the same time with no problems.
