For the loan contract:
1. Add a field "maximum duration" and a field "grace period" 2. After the maximum duration of the loan CONCORD or another (debt enforcement agency) will send the debitor a mail 3. After the grace period is over the loaned item will be given back to the original owner. If the item is in space for a certain amount of time, the (debt enforcement agency) will take the value of the items from the wallet of the debitor and transfer it to the original owner
For debt system:
Make that analog to the loan contract, but easier to setup:
1. Right click on character 2. Select "Loan money" 3. Enter amount, duration, interest and grace period
The system is surely able to track payments and so it can be handled automatically

I think that would cause a possible exploit.
1) Create two characters: Alice and Bob 2) Alice has 5m ISK, Bob has no ISK 3) Alice loans Bob 5m ISK (Alice = 0 ISK, Bob = 5m ISK) 4) Bob gives alice 5m ISK (Alice = 5m ISK, Bob = 0m ISK) 5) Loan due to come into repayment, CONCORD takes 5m ISK from Bob's account and pays to Alice (Alice 10m ISK, Bob = -5m ISK) 6) Delete Bob's character
You have just invented 5m ISK
You could add a process that paid Alice back slowly as Bob made money, however this could be a mechanism for scamming people by using alts, so players would have to use their discression to decide who to give loans to.
In general though nice Idea :) --

It could work if the debetor gets a automatic tax which slowly goes to the creditor. But then again, A alt could claim 100mil loan and never do anything to refund the creditor. --- Slot 10 Akemons Modified 'Noble'Zet 5000 implant +8% Armour FREE |

In fact it's worse than that - cos you could do it with a hell of a lot more money than 5 million. You could also repeat the process with alt after alt doubling your money each time.

Thats pretty much how it works in real life, except in EvE, the character can be deleted and noone can be punished or otherwise held reliable.
So its actually well within the spiit of EvE.

i don't get it, if it takes the money from the wallet of the alt, if the alt has no money in his wallet, how will the crediter get paid?

Thats the problem :)
1. Person Setups loans for 100mil 2. Scammer makes noob alt 3. Noob alt claims money 4. Scammer transfers cash and deletes noobalt.
Hence no loan baised system can ever work without collateral.
E.g Loan out 100mil, Security is a Raven
If the debitor does not pay, he loses his battleship --- Slot 10 Akemons Modified 'Noble'Zet 5000 implant +8% Armour FREE |

Change the way delete works. Delete is not allowed if ISK < 0. Just an idea.

1. Scammer makes 2 dead end alts 2. dead end alts keep taking out all loans and transfer to main 3. When dead end alts are left with negative balance - the scammer can either ignore those alts forever, or transfer the main to another account. --- Slot 10 Akemons Modified 'Noble'Zet 5000 implant +8% Armour FREE |

There should be no loan system without risk, and CONCORD should not be a debt collection agency.
We don't need game mechanics for this. Just lend them the money.
Worried about loan default? In the real world, this *is* the risk and is really mitigated by credit rating agencies, not by the police (it's not criminal to default on a loan, it's just a breach of contract).
