Did this last patch cure the problem or are we going to have to live with this whack issue?

Some player posted it was fixed earlier, and the patch notes also says it is, so.. should be. Test it. :)

Edited by: Brem Watson on 05/09/2006 18:47:26 Great!
Can I ask you guys to test and report it back to this thread. It's very much appreciated.
I'm not able to test right now being that I'm at work. Wish I could tho.

The EVE-Online Update Wizard says "If a ship that is being targeted, and cloaks, the lock will now guarantee the uncloak effect occurs" yet the patch notes on this web site claim the opposite. Hooray for proof-reading!

The patch apparently cured the problem of looking like you're cloaked when you aren't. The lock attempt preventing you cloaking is a feature rather than a bug apparently.

The targetting-breaks-cloak was not a feature, as mentioned pre-patch by Tuxford. And lo, the patch has fixed cloaking. To quote Harris, who has tested it:
Originally by: Harris My alt takes three seconds to target me. I started targetting and switched screens and activated cloak. The cov-ops cloak successfully worked even though targetting had begun = Cloaking fixed

First thing I did after logging in was test this. Likewise confirmed that cloaking now breaks an incomplete locking cycle, as it did before.

I've also tested (And can repeat that when someone is locking you, and you cloak, it breaks the locking and stops them from locking you when your cloaked.
A couple of small bugs/features I also notice.
If someone is passive target locking you, and you cloak, when you uncloak, it will auto continue to target you without any effect on the side of the person who was targetting you before.
If you had previously been targetted by someone, and cloak, it sometimes shows in overview only (not visible on screen.) that they are still targetting you, when they are not. On their own screen, they do not see you when this occurs.
