An agent offered me this and he wants 8000 LP as payment for it. I wonder if i should do this so i asked in HELP but got spammed away heh, and i would like to know what exactly can i do with this chip, is it worth investing 8 k LP for it ? Can i get something like an unusual good bs from it ?

I seem to remember that these are required for faction battleship agent offers, I think that particular one is for the Gallente Navy Megathron.
I've seen people offer large amounts of money for them, you might want to search the trade forums.

Some time ago those were worth like 200+ mil, today they seem to be pretty much worthless. Check market for current price

Nexus chips are used for faction ship offers from agents.
For battleships, this is the 600K LP offer (as opposed to the 500K LP offer which needs rare tags).
If anyone has seen the 600K LP offer recently, I'd be interested to know. It seems to have gone AWOL in one of the recent patches. As a loyal Matari pod-pilot who has been saving up LPs, I'm a tad annoyed by this.

Check the market for its value and decide if it's worth it...
Like somebody else said: they are required for other agent offers (the faction battleship offers at 600K LP) which are rare, so demand for this item is not high.

Actually the market is a terrible place to find the price for this item.
Most of the buy orders are npc buy orders at nominal amounts. The rest of the buy orders are people taking advantage of the fact that chip owners don't know the value of what they have.
The best way to sell this is on auction. Someone out there wants the battleship offer and needs the chip. It's probably worth a good few million but the trick is getting the full value for it.

That's assuming that the 600K LP offer that uses the nexus chip is still available. I've yet to see anyone who has been given that offer since the last couple of patches.
