Is it worth to mine Ice ???

Backdoor Princess	Posted - 2006.09.06 13:39:00 - [1] Hi hardcore roidsuckas ... I¦m totally new to Ice mining and so I have some questions about it ! Current status is: I¦m ( we ) living in a rich 0,0 area and have some POSs to feed but all the haulage and stress with gettin all the fuel from Empire to 0,0 is a mess so we think about mining ice ourself to reduce the haulage! We could use T2 harvesters and if it`s worth ( the ice mining ) we would buy a fleet of Mackinaw`s! Questions are: What is the outcome in relation to mining highends ( Crock/Bistot ). Is it better to stay with the highends, sell the minerals like we do now and live with the risk of loosing fuel on the way out to 0,0 or is it worth to mine all the Heavy Water,Stront and Liquid Ozon ourself instead the macro boys doing the bordom job of waiting 10min till the cicle is finished ? Hopefully some of you have some experiences you would like to share to a total Ice n00b

I would stick with the high-end ore - you have to deliver the minerals to empire anyway and there's little more depressing than lugging an empty hauler back to POS. So you may as well bring the fuel back with you. ----- Individuality is underrated

I would go for a mix of the two, take the risk of ice fuel loss out of the equation while still earning isk on the good stuff.
