Ok, here it goes ...
I have a few mothership pilots, unfortunately each of them is a male. Now the term "mothership" does imply a sense of femininity .. and we can hardly expect CCP to rename them to "daddyships" or such ...
But for purposes of roleplaying, sense of realism, gang behaviour and all that wouldn't it be lovely if CCP were to allow a sex change on such pilots?
I can't imagine I'm the only one with this awkward situation ...
Character portrait can be changed for a fee. Renaming is typically not allowed, but maybe exceptions can be made for such pilots as i already see people asking where "mother" is going to be next ..

Carrier skill: can not be trained by trial accounts ; can not be trained by male characters ; any male characters with carrier skills are changed to corresponding female character.

Erm, but you're aware of the fact that the name is figuratively? It's got nothing to do with 'mothers'.
In general, it's just the main ship of a fleet. Like a mother, the centre, supporting, protecting.
Can't believe you're serious with this ;)

As a Heinlein fan, I have a hard time envisioning men in charge of major ships. Salvage ships, fighters, industrials, maybe the odd cruiser, sure, but not the big ones. Capital ships in particular always seem like they ought to have women commanding them, so I'm kind of with Virt on this.
However, if I train up to motherships, Reggie's keeping all his bits.

Well, I got the suggestion handed to me that they are called mothership cause us daddies go in them but that seems rather inappropriate for these forums.
I really think this is a very feasible thing. Calling out for mother on TS and then hearing a deep voice is rather, unnerving.
