But then I saw that after anonymising, removing the death threats and accounting for the profanity filter there would be pretty much nothing but punctuation and stars. Some people really do take this rather too seriously.

I can't really imagine gimping it just to get tears. On the other hand, I know Rykker used to get lots of hate mail running a similar set-up to mine so there must be some button I'm not pushing. Btw these are only obscure items with low turnover, which is why a person would maybe feel ownership over them.

I wasn't being all inclusive. and actually i remembered one a couple of weeks ago where a guy sent me a flaming mail for scamming him and selling him 1000 dread guristas missiles at 150,000isk a pop. I mailed him back showing him that yes they actually cost that much and he later apologized.

And they update the "Bio-hate-mail" almost immediately after updating their undercut/uppercut unsold/unfilled orders. I've seen several amusing threats and I keep a huge screenshot catalog... you never know if you will need them later. So, read the Bio, you can find your "hate message" there. If your balls are hurt and bleeding don't sit in a pool full of piranhas (note to myself: don't complain in GD)

People are generally pretty chill about being scammed actually. I rarely get hate mail when I scam. Now, if you blow up their 30m isk mining barge or bump it off an asteroid you should prepare to receive RL death threats and people hoping you get cancer.
