Hi all,
I have a little problem, and I hope you guys can solve it for me.
Well, I'm gonna tell you what's wrong, and I'll do it with 1 sentence:
"What BS am I looking for?"
I've been training BS skills for sometime now (can fly every bs exept amarr), and after trading BS A against BS B, I'm too tired to think about it, and here's where you guys comes in 
I'm flying a Raven atm, and yes I know it's a pure PvP and wah wah wah. But everytime I'm flying a BS I'm getting this feeling that "I don't want this BS, because it's not what I'm looking for".
So, now I've tried everything from Dominix to Raven, and I must say I'm really confused, as I don't know what BS I shall fly 
I'm looking for a good "all-around" ship, good miner, good in combat (PvP & NPC) etc etc.
I was planning to use a Megathron (again) but since the latest "hybrid nerf" I don't think it's a good idea.
I've spent some time thinking about the Tempest too - It's a good all-around ship, but due to the UGLY LOOK, I made a nono on that ship too.
Soooo, what's left? Well, Raven... which isn't a good all-around ship, it's a very specialized, long-range ass-kicker
See my problem here, guys?

Well anything except megathron, if you ask me:
- mega is not the best miner (apoc beats it hands down)
- it is not best for NPCs (apoc again)
- it is most definitely not best for PvP (almost any other BS beats it, and blackbird + 1 more missile dude beats it)
Oh, and hybrids suck too. Dominix is ugly as hell, but it's a good all-rounder for the money.
Buy 2 ships instead, raven and apoc =)

Then you've eliminated the best choice. Minmatar top tier ships (so far) have the advantage of versatility. Rifter, Rupture and Tempest are multi-role ships.

Well a good allarounder is the Apocalypse..it can fit 8 guns wich makes it a great npc farmer, also 8 miners for pvp well ... alone it is not the best choice around but in fleet battles it is a good adiion as a damage dealer and can casue nice damage even form long range...so i suggeggest u take up amarr BS skill...so u have the best npc/mining ship and can participate in fleet batles..but dont go try your luck on a scorpion or raven or any other BS head to head...

Well, maybe you're right...
The Tempest is a nice ship, with alot of options. Maybe I'll try and trade my Raven for a Tempest (again) 
However, I don't understand why the Megathron should be so sucky in PvP... and I think it's a good miner too (better than raven and tempest ). However, I've never flew a Mega in PvP, so I guess you're right, would be graet if you could post why though.

I'm just wincing at all that wasted training time simply because you couldn't decide which battleship to get.
You should've decided first and then used the time you trained for the other battleships to get your engineering, electronics, and gunnery skills higher.
I can fly two races battleships and I'm already cursing the time wasted getting to cruiser level 4 in a non-Caldari race.

I know, I decided I wanted a Mega first of all, and well then I got it, but then, I wanted to be "different" (Tempest), but it's so small, looks tiny, and I wanted something "bigger" (Raven).
And now, you're telling me that Apoc is what I want (). So really, what ship am I looking for? (Skip the visual look, I'm to tired to think about it).

If I had the isk I'd go for a Tempest.
It's ability to hit people hard is outstanding.

Heh well just wait for the next nerf.. whoops I meant weapon balancing of course  At least you have two types of BS you can fly so you probably have half the weapons covered

What do you mean Raven is the smallest bs in the game? A Raven is very wide compare to other bs's but yes it is small in lenth. It all depends on the view you look at.

Why do you ask? well in the right hands they will use a MWD to get close up to the enemy and snare em. then start using it's most powerfully weapons on game, and use it's large drones that will dish out more damage faster than torpedose and cruise missles. Hell if you got cruise missles flying around you might as well just just use your mwd and use it's splash damage on the enemy and you

Actually I'm gonna try this as soon as I'm home again (stupid school, I hate school )
Do you have any experience with L blasters? Are they any good, or shall I stick to medium ones?
I'm gonna try this out... with 1 or 2 H-50 or Siege Launches loaded with torps :D
After I've shot a few torps, my cute drones will do the rest :)
Hope you can help me with the blasters though!

I've seen one in action, I had it in my sights. One blackbird to lock him up. Two blackbirds to take it down in case he tries to log off. That mega went down in flames very nicely .
Now why don't you try some real combat instead of shooting npcs and imagining PvP.

Oh and he had an mwd. Trouble is, so did we. Now get back to shooting that Veldspar of yours.

I'm not sure that's an indictment of the Megathron or of L blasters in PvP. Frankly, 3 Blackbirds can kill any solo BS in the game, unless of course the player has a lot of shields and cap, and a hold full of FoF cruise missiles (therefore Tempest, raven, scorp, megathron could survive maybe).
I'm getting a 'thron, but I'm also going to train up Amarr and Calidari ship skills as well, I hope to be able to fly all the BSes in the game, once my Gunnery skills are all 4s.
