I have been in the game from Beta.
and 99.9% of the folks here are Very friendly , thats the main reason I will never leave the game.
Even the So called Mean Pirates are anythign but that They have shown me courtesy in game and out here in the forums.
There will always be the token moron poster, Ganker, But for the most part I enjoy the interactions.
As far as I am concerned Most of the folks here are Outstanding.

Well i am in pirate corp. Though i still can travel in high sec space. Yes we do steal ore. Yes we are badasses in the game and nice guys and gals in chat. But that is to bring joy in this game. We never ever steal it from new players who started. We steal from exp. players. If we steal from those players, they arent laming bout it. In fact, ( and i have seen this happen more times.. )... we have fun in the local chat with them.
My point:
You can expect that they say such things if you gonna steal from new players who are just in the game..., that aint respect Molly,.... I have respect for ya,... of you do like us,.. stealing from the big guys.... Try it, and you will have more fun and more profit.

Trash talking should be reserved for those that have proven themselves in battle! 
I just lost a darn good bestower the other morning cuz I was flying and typing inna channel and didn't have my eye on local. So my favorite bestower that could hold 3 giant cans cuz of the nifty expanders got blown up, the podding afterwards was unnecessary... and kinda unfair cuz the pod didn't explode till after I dropped outta warp with no one around
Anyways, I didn't whine in local or talk $hit, nay! I logged on the alt that has the battleship that happened to be in the neighborhood and tried to take on the lone pirate. Unfortunately I just wasn't rigged for EW so had to warp away with my head lowered in shame. 
The guy didn't cheat, so I didn't complain. Even got a compliment for not whining 
The pirate took off and logged after re-enforcements arrived and he was trapped in system, much as I would rather him have faced the best corps fighter in a 1:1 or somethin'... I don't blame him for takin' off with those odds
Anyways the point is, stop whining, do more mining, and if someone steals your ore because CCP hasn't been able to solve this bug that should in some way affect these thief's (or any act that would be considered 'criminal' from an empirial law enforcement pov) just get the person's name, and corp (doubtfull) and file an exploit/cheat petition on them. Don't come *****in' and whinin' and expecting sympathy, as the forums, like the eve universe can be quite uh... un-friendly. 
The fight need only be fair from a game mechanics point of view... past that, there's no such thing as a fair fight. Space is a dangerous place and folks should travel in packs, take a hint from yer local pirates

I took my iteron for some afk-mining last night, warp into this belt and all of a sudden 3 people lock onto me, and the CEO convo's me treatening to kill me if i came any closer to their cans. .
Now i'm no ore thief, but if that happens again i'd just grab the ore and hang around waiting to get shot at, then watching as they promtly get owned by CONCORD.

First, I want to make some things clear as I believe there is a bit of confusion as to where I am coming from. The Player on player combat that takes place in the eve world is great and is what makes this game very fun to play. But the trash talk that takes place in local (ours and yours) is very immature and a complete waste of time. I donĘt mind the occasional banter back and forth that is in good taste and all in fun, but one should not mock the tactics used by others in combat (unless of course those tactics are utterly retarded). The other day when you were out numbered 5 to 1 and we couldnĘt kill you is an example of GOOD TACTICS by you. You kept running aroung and we couldnt catch you. What I have an issue with was the trash that was coming out of your mouth while you were doing it. Today I found out that FA came down to fight us only to find a few pilots who wisely docked (yes we like to keep our ships too). I can only hope that my mates who where docked did not sink to the level of trash talk that I sometimes witness form others who are outnumbered.
If, however, you are now mocking us for docking when a large FA force comes to our home then you are mocking that same tactic you used when you were outnumbered.
Will I run from an overwhelming force? Hell yah. It would be stupid not to regroup and go on the offensive some other time.
That fact of the matter is that tactics used by both sides are not the issue here. It is the trash that goes back and forth. I for one will not trash talk in local. I just play the game and if someone mocks me for not fighting them, then it makes it all the more worth it when I do attack with an even or overwhelming force.

When i one day get introdused to vacume by a pirate or many pirates. I really hope that they are not ignoring local just becouse many kids dont behave. I my self would be really sad not to have this chance to get in on some roleplay. I'll gladly get killed, but hey let me have some fun in it. This kids trash talking in local is probably the same people trastalking in any other game that happend to have a chat channel.

Most of the pirate encounters I've had have been fun, with no nasty talk or whining from either side afterwards. Even the can thieves, as we mostly mine in .3 space so the odd can thief who tries his luck there is pretty much fair game. Stupid, but fair game all the same

I do not just come out and say 'oh, look at you weakling, you are docking/running away/logging etc.' just because you are. I would to. I have run when it was needed, I have docked, I have jumped. I have done all of it. I think it's wise.
I treat others as they treat me. Apparently you are unaware of the supreme bastion of intelligence that resides in your corporation.
Let me give you an example;
The first night that I was in FD this week, before I ever opened my mouth, the following happened:
Anora ran from me twice, when both her and I were alone.
1 of your Apoc pilots, name I cannot recall, ran from me several times, when both he and I were alone.
Miz ran from me several times, when both he and I were alone.
Later that evening, when you gathered 5+ pilots, I stopped trying to give you head on fights. Why? You know the answer.
When I made loadouts for long range harrassment and strong defense, Anora began wailing in local about me being a huge coward. I wouldn't do a stand up fight vs 500% odds, so I was labeled a coward([ 2003.10.15 04:27:26 ] Miz Cenuij > GUTLESS, big letters so u can read it
[ 2003.10.15 04:27:27 ] Cloud Alexander > Pathetic Welp [ 2003.10.15 04:34:37 ] anora > yea he would run he ain't **** alone). Although she flattered me by telling me that I should be able to take all of you at once, we know better.
What is anora? For calling me a coward when I used defensive and long range setup's vs 5 pilots, when she simply run's from a single pilot? What is she? A hypocrit. Same goes for Miz. After running from me alone, he had this to say when I would not do a stand up fight vs 5 ships:

Yes, Strangelove, I too take countermeasures to make sure I am not killed when I am facing much higher odds. I still fight though. Alot of people, including yours, would simply stay docked. I don't.
I have killed 2 of your ships now when you have had superior numbers. I have caused your ships to dock and caused your blockades to warp away. I have allowed(yes, allowed) you to waylay on me for 15 minutes with 4+ battleships, and you have done nothing to me.
The point I'm trying to make with this, is that 'coward' as with many things, is in the eye of the beholder. Apparently to you, it's good tactics I use when you outnumber me 5 to 1. To anora(god bless his/her/it's soul) and miz, it's an act of blatant cowardice. Get real.
The other point that I think should be made, is that you asked for people with 'balls' to come and fight you. People with balls came to fight you, as you asked, and your group failed to show. Yea, it was probably smart of you to all just stay logged off or far away. You would have gotten broken in half. But, you asked for us to come. What does that make you?
Don't talk smack about people who don't fight stand up fights vs way greater odds, when your own people run from me every time they see me and we are both alone.
Don't ask for people to get some balls and come fight you, if you really don't want to fight.
I could go on and on.
I could tell you of miz and I making a bet to see who would force the other to leave 100km distance, or warp away. We began firing on each other and proceeding with the agreement. Anora decided to interupt the agreement and began mwd'ing towards me and firing.
Ok, fine. So she broke an agreement that miz and I had to somewhat 1v1 each other.
An hour later, anora was trying to set up a 1v1 between miz and I, and she didn't understand why I requested miz and I be alone in a gang, 3 jumps away in the middle of nowhere to do our 1v1. She called me a coward because I wouldn't do the 1v1 in the same system as all 6 of tlbc.
I could go on an list line after line of insult coming from tlbc if you would like. Or perhaps your allies at moo? I use caps. I hardley ever curse more than the word donkey, and I keep the really perserve and sick jokes aside.
I've had idiots from TLBC call me homosexual more times than I can remember, simply because they are uneducated and don't know what my name means. Fine, thats ok. I expect it.
Just don't try to act like your **** doesn't stink Strangelove. It does.
I did have fun fighting you and sinister earlier in pf. I am happy to report that dp lip and I consider ourselves the victors, due to your loss of a blackbird cruiser and

Just today when you where in our system i treid to engage dp lip and some other megathron by my self only to have them warp away or dock twice so we can do this "im matcho look at me" game all day long it wont get us anywhere but make both of us look like idiots on the forums.

Hey strangelove interesting theory. I was that 'megathron'.
First time you warped in DP Lip was already in warp - I was not and attempted to lock you but you insta docked. OMG I was pwned.
And the second time DP Lip and myself were sat at the station approximately 3 minutes to downtime when you warped in with la'rei (I think it was) 'alone'. So quelle surprise we docked (there were 2 more hostiles docked as I recall).
I'm glad you didn't know my name, although I suspect Ghengis and whatsherface (Begins with an a?) in his scorpion might recall it a little easier. Shame about Zeus in his cruiser tho.
Oh and Serilla don't worry, as Homo said cloud got his alright :P

Hey u pirates are slipping, i went into 0.0 to explore, was out with a m8 for about 4 hours in kestrel's, went through the Syndicate region (had some trouble getting through PF-346 but we made it :D) then made our way through some of the systems, which are actually pretty empty one uve gone through PF-346 and its neighbouring systems :o. Then we made our way to the Outer-Ring region, then straight to the Fountain region, to tackle some 40k pirates :). Then one of my m8s had to go to bed so he set his kestrel on auto pilot back home (46 jumps) and actually made it out of over 40 jumps of 0.0 :D. Then ironiclly another m8 of mine doing agent missions had to collect something from a 0.3 system, and he got attacked by biomass cartel lol, only just made it out with his 2 MWDs.
Just thought id share that with ya :D
(oh and pirates, if u seen a kestrel running around PF-346 its probably me ;))
