Finally got corp standing > 5.0, and want to put up an intensive refining array. But after onlining the control tower (works fine), trying to online the IRA tells me that it can't be mounted higher than 0.4 space. First I've ever heard of this...is it a bug or just a limitation not stated anywhere?
Thanks!

I think that's a limitation not stated anywhere, though as far as I know it wasn't specified in the patch notes. Petition it and find out.

Moon mining and reacting not working in high-sec is a feature not a bug. This works as designed and intended.
I have hazy recollections of a dev stating this in a blog or post somewhere, might also be stated in patchnotes at the time when 'POS in high-sec' feature hit TQ.

yes moon mining and reactions are not allowed in high sec but the op asked about a intensive refinary and i never saw anything stating you cannot refine in high sec
to op yes place it under other theres no reason high sec refining should not be allowed concidering the mineral losses involved

ummmm why would you want an intensive refining array in high sec anyway?????? they give our MAX of 75% efficiency and cost a whole lot of isk to run. using npc stations would be a much better choice.

Refineing in any of the 3 types of refinerys gives perfect yeild for ice....

As pointed out, Ice. Also, the POS was to be put in a system with no NPC station, and for ease of hauling we were looking at the IRA.

YEa but refining ice in an intensive refining array still is skill based. As are all of them...
If you get 100% at a normal NPC refinery station, You would get 75% refine on ore from an intensive array, and 100% on ice, and 35% on ore from a standard.
If you get 90% on a normal NPC refinery, you get About 68% refine on ore, and 90% refine on Ice at the intensive, with about 32% on ore at the regular array.
Coupled with refining time and its just not worth it, Unless you found a bunch of high sec systems with no stations whatsoever.
Better and cheaper bet would be to get your refining skills maxed, and do it at the station.
Again, the refining % is STILL SKILL BASED, The amount shown is "If you get 100% at a station, you get XX% (be it 35 or 75) at this Refinery"
I fell for that when I first got my refinery, took about a week to figure it out.

If you feel you need a refinery, get the regular refinery, its almost as fast for ice processing and does the same refine.
Also, you could try setting up a supply chain if its all high sec anyway, Have your miners mine and move the ore into the Corp hanger array, and after the op, have everyone in their Haulers move the ore into the station, would take a few trips, but doable
