It's my first time in W-space and have a few questions I need answering,
Could someone e aim to me the difference between a wandering or a static WH as I've heard in vodeos, I'm in a c4 with a static something, and just wondering what the combinations mean?
And when I'm scanning in WH space, as I'll be exploring in them for data and relic sites, and just wondering do they all have sleepers on them? And if I find a data or relic site with them can I just warp out before they attack?
Many Thanks John |

currently there are in class 1 , 2 , 3 faction data/relics that dont contain sleepers its easy to find out on description of scanned site it will have faction like guristas, true sansha, blood raider etc. thought they are harder to hack , containers on failed hack dont destroy your ship.
difference betweeen static and wandering is simple wandering are roaming holes , they can be opened in your wormhole to another wormhole or high/low/null kspace or they can be opened from kspace or another wormhole into your wormhole, they live around 16 hours . static wormhole means it will always lead to specific type of space , example c2 hs c3 will have evry day new highsec entrance and c3 entrance, static lifetime is 24 hours. an example static/wandering short list
wormhole------------- static ------------ wandering class 1 hs N110 Z971 class 2 hs/c1 B274 + Z067 R943 Class 3 ls static U210 X702

Dont do what some random dude did in our hole the other day. Warped his helios to a c4 relic site and got insta pwned. We didnt get to say thanks for the sister probes launcher. Still not sure why he decloaked in there vov
If you want to avoid that you should prob check out the wiki / google for site names so you can tell which are null and sleeper sites. Null ones have no rats afaik, so if u see red crosses then ur prob in a sleeper site. |

You may also want to read this thread (which might I add is stickied at the top of this sub forum). There is a lot of useful and relevant information in it, including what you are asking. Definitely worth a read.
In regards to Data and Relic sites. You will, of course, come across sleeper Data and Relics. These are the ones that do not have a pirate faction in their name. The new Nullsec Data and Relics will have, for example, Guristas in the title. These ones are the ones without Sleepers in them.
Quoted from Doc Fury: "Concerned citizens: Doc seldom plays EVE on the weekends during spring and summer, so you will always be on your own for a couple days a week. Doc spends that time collecting kittens for the on-going sacrifices, engaging in reckless outdoor activities, and speaking in the 3rd person."

Sleeper sites are going to say something like frontier or forgotten or whatever. Warping your covops to those is a horrendously bad idea (I don't think an Astero is a hot choice either, but I haven't actually bothered to check), as those do have sleepers. If it has a pirat name on it, it's the same as what you see in nullsec, so there shouldn't be any rats. Note this is not the same as being safe, as launching probes announces your presence to anyone else in the system, and if it's inhabited, they probably already have that site bookmarked. |

I don't think a bookmark would matter in the case of these sites... unless there's a list of locations where they pop, I think they are actually semi-random.
Lots of people use depopped relic and data sites as "safe" locations since they usually save a bookmark to them when they're en route. Once the site depops there's no way to find them except someone scanning down your ship.
