In 0.6 system i fired a cruise at a pirate. the splash damage hit a player (oops) the police totalled me. Is this right?
I thought you were ok with splash damage?
Perhaps im wrong.
Not moaning , cest la vie, just curious....

Splash damage in 1.0 - 0.5, unless the person is ganged with you, will call in CONCORD 9 times out of 10. The 1 time out of 10 they don't show is pretty much down to the game not responding correctly or your corp being at war with the other player's corp.

I thought splash damaging someone was a-ok unless your splash damage was sufficient to kill the bystander.
Same for NPC objects and ships.

Nice, ships like the raven get less firepower in Empire Space.

splash damage is always counted as aggression unless u r ganged with the person who got hit. so watch out if u r in 0.5 and up, and keep missiles clear of jumpgates/stations unless u can take the heat of their sentrys.

I fired the missile to help the other player too.. the pirate was sufficient distance away at time of firing.
Well at least i was just in a cruiser at the time fortunately. Lost 3 good weapon mods tho.
Must thank player who picked up my 3 compressed coil 250mm for me tho

You fired a cruise missile to help somebody in 0.6 space? Yowza must be a hefty pirate. But they you say you had 3 250 compressed coils.. why didnt you just use those?

it was a 40k pirate and 2 20k pirates.
thats why i threw missiles at the buggers.
plus i just made a batch of several thousand cruise so wanted to test them out.
