It is the only MMO that in PVP gets me moderately interested. I like that we can build up a group and control area. I want to crush those that pick easy kills but they are a never ending mass that reduces my hope for humanity. Given freedom this is what they find fun? The ship building is a lot easier than Anarchy Online equipment but at least more challenging than checking level and colour of the item. The industry actually matters, the market is controlled by players, rather than a novelty that weirdos partake in.
A pity that I try and do everything, I am a generalist in and out of game. If my enemies knew how little SP I have in combat they would biomass from shame when they die to me.

This.
Kill them, kick them out, they are back tomorrow and the next lot comes along in the mean time. Success just breeds more trouble
- unless you are running around, holding nothing, using NPC stations and trying to mess with people as much as possible.

You haven't experienced the joys of mining and Coronation Street at the same time!
....
Seriously, though, if you have not watched that show, avoid it. Avoid any English Soapie.
Ripper Street and the new Sherlock Holmes are examples of the production quality that they can do then they make East Enders? Huh? I think there are a lot of people that are watching shows like East Enders who are sitting in their brains, which have leaked out of their ears.

Support the ideas that I am standing behind with my CSM campaign.
I do not want to be liked. I just want a game that is on level ground.

I read both posts and appreciate how you crafted them. People will note that I edit mine a fair bit because I type them directly here and act as my own grammer and spell checker.
You are even honest enough to use the word "griefing" and talk about a catalyst alt. When ever I bring these things up, all denial springs forth. "We are doing it to cut the enemy's supply lines," Really? Three man corp of newbies mining in high sec is a supply line? "I use my main because it has more skills and I can raise sec status on it easier" Yes... kill rats while your destroyer alt soaks up the sec status.
So, I will say this. It seems that the more griefers and "chaos" generating players the alliance has the more stifling the rules seem to be. You will probably keep finding that. When you join a group to be with others like yourself, all the coalitions and alliances that yank on your leash a lot and use it against you are probably like that because it is the only way they can function and be so big.
Provi Bloc is a weird combination of hippy / communist / liberal I don't know what. You will see regulars that mine or rat and try get them to help throw some reds out "Respect how I want to play. I like PVE and I pay corp taxes" then when there is a PVE operation they are still going about doing their thing and if you say something like, "Well you don't fight but can you now contribute with PVE" you just get complete silence. That annoys me. I try to contribute but it is so vexing to see others doing nothing actively to help and throwing away shiny ships. Worst of all, I can't get a green light to shoot blues! So, I try and get some whips, chains and leashes! "We must respect the principles of Provi and not restrict people" ...
However, it works, in a strange way, it actually does. It has enough guidelines to not step on too many toes and it gives enough freedom to do pretty much nothing or to run head long into doing all that you can. When you accept it, you stop wasting time and energy flogging the dead weight. Who knows, maybe one day in a CTA they will contribute? Unexpected reserves of power you do not count upon.
There are a few large worm hole corps and alliances. Probably too rigid for you in a lot of cases though.
