I've asked this in an older thread, in a different part of the forum, but no answer :P Anyhow, One person said he has done level II missions in a Condor..is this possible? Does he mean the very small, but very fast caldari frigate? If he was talking correctly, what kind of setup is needed for this? (Im still having doubts it can do level II missions though)
The only thing I like to use condors for is, while-at-pc traveling since with a 1n after burner I make it fly at almost 900m/s

Make cheap tacklers for PvP and decent scouts. Dunno what other uses they have.

Yeah, thanks thats what I thought, dunno what he meant by doing a level II mission in it then :\ I did find it very good in scouting because of high speed.

You can run lvl 2 missions even in a noobship.. and its more fun than fleet battles ^^

Maybe with a velator and 2 t2 light drones, and a plate/shield extender.

Edited by: Kery Nysell on 10/09/2006 15:15:36 I did a bunch of lvl 2 missions with my Condor ... the only ones that I could not finish with ease were "Murderer Brougth to Justice" (those EM missiles hurt a lot) and "Silence the Informant" (again, the EM damage from the Mercenaries in the second pocket was the problem).
It was fitted like this :
HIGHs : 2x Arbalest Rocket Launchers + 1x 75mm Railgun T2
MEDs : 1 MN AB T2, Small Shield Booster T2
LOW : Ballistic Control System T2
With Thorn rockets, of course, that ship can pack a surprising punch ... and when I'll have the skills for T2 rocket launchers, even more so ... it's a bit hair-raising, the shield tends to drop to 45% and the back up to 100% (with the booster on), but it's quite refreshing after sleeping through the lvl 2 missions in a Caracal ...

The condor is one of two T1 frigate BPOs I currently own and have researched. Easy to build from grinding up worthless rat loot, pretty usefull ship and I tend to go through alot of them.
for level 2 missions. I would use rocket/nos setup and keep the speed well over 1km/s.

That's the next thing on my "to do" list ... but my "cruiser-sized" skills are worse than my "frigate-sized" skills, so I think I'll have a few problems ... gotta raise those Missiles skills (shock ! horror ! a Caldari that is not specced in missiles !).
Maybe I'll try with a Moa, my Gunnery skills are better than my Missiles ones ...

[Damm forums! Posted with an alt. ]
Condors are interesting ships.
I am originally Amarr and used to fly missions in my trusty punisher. The punisher is armored like a cruiser, and unfortunately flies like one. So the Condor was a refreshing experience.
Recently, I wanted to raise my standings in the Ammatar empire. I found out that the level 1 missions were completed *much* faster using the Condor. The paper-thin armor is a concern, but I think you'll find out that you don't get hit as much.
You can even mess around in 0.4.
I think people underestimate what this little ship can do. For level 1 missions, rockets. You don't really need the higher damage of light missiles, nor the range, and they fire much faster. You can do level 2 missions using this configuration, but some ships might take a long time to kill. I think T2 rockets would totally own, tho.
