Hi slots:
2x 250 rails (the best you can get), 2x Dual 150 rails (which used to be a joke pre-patch but are fairly decent in their Scout or prototype Gauss versions now), 1x 150 or 125 railgun alternating with a small smartbomb
Med slots:
MWD/AB, Medium shield booster, Shield hardener
Low slots:
Damage mod, Tracking mod, Reactor Control Unit, Armor hardeners (and a few other things depending on the situation)
Top of the line versions for all modules are naturally better than store-bought.
Not a PvP setup, I guess, but good enough against fleets of NPC cruisers.

Radis my friend.
PVP. Fit close range blasters with antimatter and play to the Thoroxs strengh. get in close and use Heavy drones. An MWD is also a good choice. along with a thermal and em hardener.
Low slots, use hybrid dmg mods and cap rechargers.
NPC hunting though, id go with 3 250mm rails and an MWD.
thats just what id do, im sure u will get many different ideas:).

3 250 rails fitted with anti matter ammo in high slots, along with two energy neutralisers med slots: cap booster, med shield booster and an MWD/AB Low slots: 3 E-type Power core, 2 weapon dam/ROF modifiers and the ships max of 8 hvy drones

My set works better at npc hunting, but does admirably in pvp as well.
High Slots: 4x 250mm protos (Plutonium Ammo) 1x dual 150mm proto
Med Slots: 1x cl5 medium shield booster 1x Anoited EM Ward 1x Cold Arch Jet AB
Low Slots 2x Vortext Stabilizer Dmg mods 1x Reactor Contorl (10% pwr grid) 2x Power Diagnostic systems (5% power grid, 4% max shields, 4% max cap, 7.5% to shield recharge, 7.5% to cap recharge)
This set up really hit hard, doing around 130-190 dmg a shot, has a rof on the 250s of about 3.7 seconds, so I find my self poping 50k rats in under 30 seconds. Range is pretty good as well, about 26k with pluontium, if i want to set it up for ranged combat i just change the ammo to thorium and now can hit out to 35k.
Drones i use 4 Wasps and 4 Ogres

I'm usually fighting missile-using NPCs at the moment, and the dual smartbomb means I can keep most of the missiles out while the rails kill them.
NPCs without missiles rarely get close enough to fire back. If they do, MWD opens the range back up whilst Med shield booster repairs the damage.
However will shortly be moving to a Moa which I think is better for this LR stuff - Thorax is a great miner and good close-up scrapper but I prefer to hit them before they can hit me! :-)

5 annode electrons med armor rep. small hull rep. MWD and for the lows... 20% cap regen (-25%shield regen, forgot the name..) 1 adaptive nano (15% to all armr resists) 2 similar kinetics (30% each) 1 similar thermal
note...it works fine on hybrid using npc¦s, it sucks for pvp
but earning the respect from BS pilots hunting the same stuff like you is worth it *g* need translation ? |

4 small smartbombs and a mwd 3+ low-slot cap rechargers. This loudout drains your cap really quick, so you might consider dropping any shield-booster/hardeners and beef up your Armor instead (not as effective but it wont require cap)

That set up right there is good for killing battle ships in pvp, haul ass at 1km away and just watch them miss miss miss.
For pvp i use 5 modal ions a mwd. Basically with this set up u can fly circles around a bs at like 1000 m/s, and just pick away at them with your 5 ions.

btw...forget shield booster when using mwd¦s....go on armor
btw..2..dont extend your armor (armor platings) because they suck too much speed...go on resists need translation ? |

I prefer to use 3 250mm railguns (wish I had the named ones) and two rare quad moderated lights with radio Ms.
As a secondary armament, the quad moderateds are very cap thrifty but with a radio M packs a decent punch and very decent over 20k range. A quad moderated after the patch actually packs more punch than a Heavy Pulse laser before the patch, while using up only a third of the cap with a faster firing rate. The tracking is very good, enabling you to deal fast moving frigate NPCs, which is a problem for the 250mms when the frigate gets too close.
The light lasers and the railguns work very well togeter---the lasers eat the shields fast enough with its EM damage for the railguns with its kinetic damage to smash the hull.
I've been getting very good results mixing lasers with projs and hybrids.
Also by mixing lasers, I reduce my ammo consumption, which helps for a Thorax since it has a small cargo space.

My setup varies depending on what the range is, but my set usually consists of this:
High Slots
2 * Blasters with AM 3 * 250MM Rails with Thorium
OR
3 * Blasters with AM 2 * 250MM Rails with Thorium
Medium Slots
Med Shield Booster AB/MWD ECM/ECCM or a Hardener
Low Slots
A mixture of co-procs, mag stabs and power diags/reac controls, depending on what the set up above is.
I also carry 8 heavy drones with me, either Wasps or Ogres, and with my heavy drone skill at level 5 (took 70 days!) they do a **** load of damage. The drones on their own will destroy a 20K - 30K NPC in about 10 seconds or less!
