So I finally got round to buying a Jaguar tonight, after tidying up a few shield skills for it. I've got a pretty standard setup on here right now (150mm/Rocket/MWD/Extender/Web/Scram/Gyrostabs/Fitting) which I haven't even had a chance to try out, since Sunday nights seem to be a regular unstable time for EVE.
Meanwhile I've been toying with the idea of a dual extender setup. I can't squeeze quite enough powergrid out to do it without two fitting mods (or an empty high slot), even with named mods.
Does anyone use dual extender setups to good advantage, or am I better off not sacrificing damage mods for fitting?

i prefer the 2 damage mod version with a web, but some people like to use a mapc, 2 pdu's with the duel extender
should net over 2700 shield hp

I use dual extenders on mine and it kicks ass.
3x 150mm II, rocket Best named AB, dual best named med extenders, warp disruptor (named) Gyro II, MAPC, PDU/nano

A small nos is way more valuable than a rocket launcher on a Jag. ----------------------------------------

Dual Extender Setups courtesy of Sarmaul, may his EVE-O fwhorum soul rest in peace. * * * In the beginning the Universe was created. This has made a lot of people very angry and been widely regarded as a bad move.

Dunno about you but my Jag never goes below 60-70% cap unless I'm getting nos'd. And if I am that small nos isn't going to save me. Rocket = DPS which can save me by killing them quicker. You don't need cap for your tank either.

Cant see how a small nos is better than a rocket launcher tbh, can you explain please as I cant see a eason to use a nos over a rocket launcher.

1. Small nos lets you maintain web + scram whilst being nossed by a BS (or cruiser, but that can be harder). This gets you a lot of kills that would have otherwise escaped, especially solo.
2. Small nos ****s up the cap balance of a DCed Taranis, which is one of the few small ships that can cause you serious problems.
3. The nos graphic is pretty.
A rocket launcher gets you an extra 10-20dps depending on skills. That rarely tips the balance in my experience. ----------------------------------------

I've been going over setup in my head for the past week, but I can't get items just as easy as you guys can. I won't give the details, but its a passive shield tanking arty Jag.

Not a real big fan of the duel ext setup sence you can't use a MWD with it and your sig is too big.
This is good setup i sometimes use.
3x 150s 1xR.L named
1xscramb 1xMWD 1xKenetic hardner(passive) 1xmedium shield ext T2
Low 1x Gyro II 2x SPR ---
CCP where are our t2 shield power relays?

Hm... I told myself I wouldnt post the setup I use on this board but screw it.. I'm tired and have poor judgement
3x 150 IIs
7.5km, MWD, 2x Med Extender IIs
1 Gyrostab 2, 2 MAPC
Note it's a solo setup. Gang you take off an Extender for a web and have 2x GyroII + DC/PDU.

Signature was a slight worry, too. Thanks for the advice chaps, I think I'll stick to the single extender setup for now and just toy with a kinetic hardener instead.
(for those looking for Sarmaul)
