I'd like to fit a Navy Vexor.
May I have some advice please?
This will be for ratting, but a PVP setup would be nice as well.
Thankies!

Oh, no "Buy an Ishtar" replies please.
I can't fly an Ishtar. I want the Navy Vexor because it's cool. I'm starting to become a faction collector.

For ratting: 5 * 150mm Railgun II
1 * 10MN Afterburner II 2 * Cap Recharger II
1 * Small Armor Repairer II 1 * 1600mm Rolled Tungsten Plates I 2 * Energized Magnetic Membrane II 2 * Energized Thermic Membrane II
For PVP, I would use webber, scambler in mids and energized adaptive nanos in low slots.

Bought one myself recently. This is what I came up with, though its a pvp setup.
2x Dark Blood Nos 3X 150mm Railgun II
1x Domination 10mn ab 1x Domination webber 1x Domination warp scram (2pts @14km)
1x Deadspace Repper Med (still looking) 1x Deadspace Repper small (still looking) 1x 800mm steel plates II 2x Dark Blood EANM (deadspace would be better) 1x 58% Damage Control
3 Ogre IIs 2 Valk IIs 1 Small armor rep bot
I built it to engange between 11-13Km, thing I'm most scared about is Crows, since I cant pack any warrior IIs to fend them off. I spent more than I should have already, but I'm cursed with a faction fetish and I'm a drone specialist to boot so... Thoughts?

4x 150mm t2, true sansha small nos ab t2, shadow serp disruptor, web ts med rep, expl kin therm(t2 and 55% faction), db eanm, 1600mm plate
Friendly tip, don't camp with it in 0.0 without proper scouting ^^
Damn cool ship with a good tank. I prefer the 5 med + 5 lights + spares approach, if you go with hvy drones you might lose lots of your dps if someone kills your hvy drones quick. Having spares means you can have drones of multiple dmg types too, like valks and hammerheads and hobgoblins and warriors.

Okay.
Right now, I'm running
3 named 250mm railguns (for swatting the close ones) 2 drone link augmentors
1 top named sensor booster (insert crappy ratting mod cargoscanner here rofl) 1 eutectic recharger
1 t2 armor rep 1 N-Type EANM 1 IFF Damage Control (58%) 1 Dark Blood Explosive Hardener (extra umph) 1 N-Type Thermic Hardener 1 N-Type Kinetic Hardener
5 Hammerhead IIs 5 Infiltrator IIs
Works well for ratting in Sansha/Blood space.

Edited by: KilROCK on 11/09/2006 10:02:48 Quite sad this is. I've been looking at your other post about the Comet. You seem to enjoy flying these 'faction' ships..
Maybe because you don't have the skills to fly Tech2, or just because you simply cannot afford them or best of all, are unskilled, cannot fly t2 and are a total muppet when it comes to fitting your ships.
Well, Looking at the info you've given in your other topic. You're a 1 year old player, is this correct?
You seem to specialise yourself in gallente ships, you npc in lowsec belts with a stinkin comet and don't seem to even have the skills to use a Micro Auxiliary Power Core. Now, That tells me what? I don't really know.
I'm seeing, Lack of Hull upgrade 5, since you're using n-type hardeners and a n-type Energized adaptive nano, you buy a 250m Vexor (which by the way isn't that amazing compared to a normal one) and you put a Dark Blood explosive hardener, but don't follow by getting yourself the Rest, I mean.. You could get yourself a Thermal, and a Kinetic..
If you don't have money to invest for a True sansha/Dark blood Energized adaptive nano, I bet you could go for a True sansha adaptive nano, which would probably give you the same resistance as your ****ty n-type since you probably have ****-all skills for armor compensations.
So you have.. Top named Sensor booster, 1 year old character again? Man, you sure have poor skills if you can't use Tech2 sensor boosters...
Now, you may seem to be joking around the "Rat" cargo scanner but i think you're actually weird and noobish enough to actually have one there.. what for tho, only you might have an answer to this wonderful question.
"3 named 250mm railguns (for swatting the close ones)", I hate to *****, but have you ever noticed those are actually 'long range' type of guns.
Then again, I don't think you notice much.. You have 2 Drone augmentators, your big plan seem to be to target things beyond normal range, in which your guns won't hit, and NPC probably will switch to your drones since they won't be able to turn on you. (since obviously you'll be far away cruising like a mad man!).
all in all, I don't know what else to say.. For a year old player, you seem to be clueless and think a faction ship is better than others when you have no clue what to put on it, a shinny black coated Vexor... Well, Like your comet i think it will just flat out be a disaster.
Maybe in another year, you'll have skills to use a normal vexor properly before using another Navy vexor like crap again..

As a friendly tip you should have both skills at atleast lvl 4 before trying to tank anything bigger than a tristan.

How did this guy muster the cash for all this faction crap? I mean, the Navy Vexor... if you manage to find one for sale goes for 200-300 million. Nevermind the faction modules.

ahh, that explains it how the hell did you manage to have total of 8mil sp? and lol, at least now you can create an alliance (I think :D)
Best tip I can give you: Go to NY, climb up to the roof of the EMpire State building (since the twins are no longer there), and jump. We will know who you are then Best tip I can give you After that you can start fresh.. with new clone, new char, and new history ------------------ Tired of fleet combat lag? -Post HERE

Audrea, that's uncalled for - While the OP has evidently some work do do on skills and ship setups, what you said is unnecessary. He came here with a polite request so lets treat each other with a little decency please.

WTH! A bit harsh here dont you think? So he needs a few pointers about his skills, nothing a few months of skilling wont sort out.

Well, somehow it's amazing to see how arrogant some of you are. Siigari just asked for a setup on a ship. If you feel that her current setups are not good enough to survive in the evil EVE universe, give her some good advices and help her to get better.
Your nagging let's me think that you are just jealous about a one year old char who has a Navy Vexor that you would like to fly :-(

It isnt that really. Its just weird to see a 1-year old player who hasn't worked out that Gallente Pilots should train drones above level 2, and that Energy systems ops and energy management are two of the most important skills out there. After one year of playing, how can those possibly still be @ level 1? o.0
But yeah, some replies crossed the line for sure.

Well based on your skills here is what I recommend.
H: 5 miner 1's M: cap recharger 1's L: full out cargo expanders.
Drones: Full load of basic mining drones should do the trick.
Find a nice 1.0 system full of veldspar and have fun.
No one can hear you scream in space, so just shut up and die already. |

Edited by: Siigari Kitawa on 21/09/2006 04:31:56 Okay, after taking some advice, I got my engineering skills up. I've got the good ones that you guys were recommending up to 3, training the Management to 4.
Okay, so I refitted my Navy Vexor for some ratting again, and I've come up with something dangerous :D I'm cleaning out lowsec quickly with this.
High:
2 250 'Scout' Accelerator Cannons w/ Antimatter 1 Small Tractor Beam 1 Drone Link Augmentor I 1 Small I-AX Regenerative Projector
Mids:
1 10mn Afterburner (looking for better) 1 Drone Navigation Computer I 1 Dark Blood Capacitor Recharger
Lows:
1 Dark Blood Small Armor Repairer 1 Dark Blood Energized Adaptive Nano Membrane 1 Dark Blood Armor Explosive Hardener 1 Dark Blood Armor Thermic Hardener 1 Dark Blood Energized Thermic Membrane 1 Dark Blood Energized Reflective Membrane
Drones:
5 Acolyte IIs 5 Warrior IIs 5 Hammerhead IIs
This setup gives me a great mix of fresh tank with great long distance killing. I sometimes swap out the 250's for another Drone Link and Tractor beam, depending on my mood. (Sometimes it's great to hear slugs get shot). Also, the small repper is great for repairing drones on the fly when I let them out early to start blasting.
But yeah, this setup is working well for me.
Resistances passive are 83% EM, 51% Kinetic, 35% Explosive, 75% Thermal. I'm ratting in Sansha/Blood space though so these observed resistances are fine.
Also, I enjoy the Dark Blood loot. I'm looking for more :D
Finally, can anyone recommend me a good PVP setup for this ship, as well as some final advice on the ratting setup?
Thankies!
