Lets make Bookmarks more interesting and help ease the problem of server overload.
Corporation Office û Central Navigation Computer the CNC.
This would work much like Production / Research with Skills required. Each corporation would have a Central Navigation Computer at any office they Rent which, would store Navigation Records. Navigational records can ONLY be upload / Download to Ships and Navigation Modules from the CNC inside the station. The process will be much like the production / research as each copy operation is Queued and 3 Min per Navigation Record. (Or Faster depending on Your Central Navigation computer Skill)
Security would be implemented to Read / Upload / Download / Delete Navigational Data from the Navigational Computer. (Stop Spies Stealing)
The number of records allowed to be stored in the Navigational Computer would depend on the Corp management skill of the Corporation Leader Much like the number of Members is.
Ships.
Pilots can download/Upload Records from there ships (On Board) Navigational Computer. Each Level of Ship Give 10 Navigational records up to 50 Records Held On board. The ship has to be interfaced in the station to the navigational computer CNC and the Records downloaded/Uploaded. (again 3min a Record in a queue process much like Production/Research)
Pilots can make Navigation Records in space (This is Instant) But only to the Remaining Capacity of the Onboard Navigation Computer.
Modules - Navigation Expansion Modules.
Expands the Memory Capacity of a Ships On Board navigational Computer. Can be loaded with Data in the station from the CNC while inserted into a medium slot.
Navigation Expansion Modules 50 Records Tech I
Navigation Expansion Modules 100 Records Tech II (with Named In Between)
A Command ship Gets a 10 x Increase in capacity of storage, So for example a Tech II module can store 1000 Navigation Records. Depending on Command Ship skill.
Each Navigation Expansion Module is faction Specific ( we get onto that Later) as a dropped and lootable monule..and readable Using Hacking / Decryption Methods at there Central Navigational Computer
Module û Navigation Remote Communication Module.
Allows a Ship to Remotely Access the a Central Navigation Computer (CNC) in range. The Remote Navigation Communication skill Depicts the Range from the Corporate Office Station or Command Ship CNC. Level 1 for 1 Jump Level 5 for Region..

The is the Fun Bit. Each units is Faction Specific so a Caldari Navigation Expansion unit can only be used in a Caldari Ship
If you find an enemy jet can with a Navigation Expansion units in you can take it back to you CNC and Using Hacking skills or Faction Decryption methods you can copy his Navigational Records to your Central Navigational Computer (including enemy safe spots etc).
As a Command ship can carry 1000, It can can group warp gangs, Transmit navigation records to its Corporation. But if the command ship is lost in Foreign Space. Your corporation members looses access the a lot of bookmarks and can only rely on there onboard Navigational Computer Also Security can be compromised if some enemy picks up the command Ships CNC Expansion unit.
The Advantages.
I think used right, this will still allow the right number of bookmarks in the right place at the right time without overloading the server with Mass copying and also speed up the list of bookmarks for pilots . But also applies lots of skills relating to storage capacity and central administration of Bookmarks (Or Navigation Records as I like to call them)

Custom Routes
The CNC at the station could also be used to create custom routes..linking naviation records together. the routes again could be download into ships as used with the auto pilot.
