I've been running missions with an Empire agent to get a Navy Raven, have now 1.000.000 loyalty points and still can't get the ship I've been 'working' for.
I received the tags offer 2 or 3 times already, so I deployed a small POS in Venal and started hunting there for days on end, without ever finding Estamel Tarchion, is it why the offer is labelled 'Hunt of a lifetime'? Buying the tage is not an option for me, I hate games where you grind only to get the cash to buy stuff from those who got lucky. I want the fun, not the chore.
So, can I trash the Nexus ship I have because you removed the offer, or will there be more opportunities to get the rewards we want, or better rewards?

Unfortunatley ccp decide what mission runners get..
God forbid they would make money from rams...
Faction ships.. and saturate the implant offers....
It makes you laugh realy, like you said... you earn lp to reward your efforts (i belive this was why they changed the offers to more emphasis on lp's over isk)
Ahh well, who cares
Ohhh, while im on the vibe... now if lp rewards (items) were actualy worth keeping for personal use.... boy would that be nice
Remember i ran for khandid... you guys moan.. we had no ships.... only implants ______

Not to mention that implant prices are going down the drain, which is a good thing overall but not so a good thing for mission runners.
There are so many things that could fit in the reward tables to make the game more rewarding. On top of faction ships, tech II implants, faction mods, tech II BPCs and basically everything somewhat rare.
What about a 'ticket' to find officers in space, for example? If you had a 500.000 LPs offer to corner down Estamel (depending on your race, of course) in a remote Venal system, you'd only need another 500.000 LPs to get the navy raven, which could be somewhat acceptable considering the officer mods you'd loot to fit your ship
Well... I don't know, atm I'm not sure I'll even bother again to 'refresh' my empire agent (70 jumps to run a mission is sooooooooooo fun) and just chain belts for cash. Too bad, because missions are cool, belt ratting is very boring, but when you live in 0.0 you have to prioritize things.

CCP is becoming like SOE. They don't put nerfs in the patch notes and don't respond to valid questions/complaints like this.
Doesn't matter, anyways, the lag is so painful it's hard to run missions.

Work in low sec, it's more exciting, and less lag.
As for CCP = SOE? Not really. Several mission 'stealth nerfs' actually was code incorrectly brought to tranquility and quickly removed. Prime example: drones getting bounties and stopping their dropping of alloys. That mistake was quickly fixed. It was mentioned by a dev in these very forums. You can complain all you want but imo the level of communication between devs and us (and vice versa to a degree) are amongst the best in mmos.

Why? To get more LP's?
Until the mission reward system is overhauled, implant prices will continue to plummet. All you can really get at this time are connection books, implants, and faction battleships. Book prices and implants reach new lows every day, while faction battleships are of questionable value with the tier 3 Kali ships around the corner.
As LP's get progressively less valuable, working in low security becomes less rewarding. Why risk being probed out for a few extra LP's when you can get the exact same mission and bounties in the safety of high security?

They used to be among the best, I'd agree. Not so much anymore. It's been how long since Dragon and the unannounced nerfs to offers, has there been word? AND apparently this is just another step in a long line of nerfs.
Any word on why it's lagging more AFTER the optimization of Dragon and the downtime that was supposed to fix Dragon?
Apparently, the offers used to be more varied and you could get faction mwd's/ab's/weapons etc? No word on those being removed, just poof..
I hate to say this, but Blizzard would've responded by now on the mission issue.
And I do work in low sec.

For the first 8 months after the LP system was introduced with Exoduis patch you could get faction mods for LP. Then they were removed. One of the Devs posted (in response to my question asking "why") that they didn't want people to get everything they needed to outfit a ship doing just missions. I disagreed, but it's their game and they have the right to do with it what they want. The problem wasn't taking out the faction mods. The problem was not putting something else in to replace them as LP offers. Now, they took out the good hard-wiring implants along with the crappy ones and took out the nexus chip faction ship offers along with the low LP/high isk ones.
The problem is the constant removal of offers (for what CCP considers legitimate reasons - whether or not I agree with the logic) and their gross failure to replace them with anything else worthwhile!!
This constantly reduces the number of items people are willing to claim with their LP and floods the market with them. Pretty soon, nothing will be worth even the nominal 1 mil isk/1k LP ratio CCP set up as the basis for the LP system.
edit: And let's not forget making the mining crystals non-refinable and thereby making them worthless as LP offers.

I am, but just as a result of the current offers being crap. If the 5 run cnr is given I'd take it though.

Just coming up to 3 months in game and up to now I have mostly run missions and mined. Due to a corp war my mission progress has not been as fast as others but I am now at a position where, with a little difficulty I can handle most level 3 missions, but not quickly. However I don't think they will be worth the effort.
Rewards and bonuses are ok, but the LP rewards so far for lvl 3 combat missions (with a few lvl4 couriers mixed in) have been frankly pitiful. After couple of batches of 15/16 such missions I have little to show for it. Storyline offers have been a +1 cha implant and some 25k hardwiring. Loyalty offers all drugs, mining crystals and starbase charters.
I have worked my way through the dull grind of innumberable level 1-2 missions in the hope that the rewards for 3s would make them worthwhile - they don't. It will be sometime before my fitting and skills make lvl 4s possible.
At the moment missions strike me as fairly pointless so I am off to 0.0 to rat and take my chances. I can earn more out there.
Perhaps it is a conscious effort on the part of CCP to push people away from mission running, if so it has worked in my case. People complain about the reductuion in rewards for lvl4 but I am not even going to progress that far because the rewards for 3s just dont make it worth the time to get to 4s. The only reason I will run more missions is to gain the final +1 standing gain to get my jump clone.

Ya faction mods should not have been removed. If they are worried about mission runners getting everything though missions well make sure the faction/named mods from 0.0 are better than the ones given out buy agent LP offers. Right now they are just flooding the maket with implants connection skill books and some faction ships...
LP offer system is totaly gimped now because of people getting pretty much the same offers. But CCP may want this to get the people farming LP to stop and find something else to do. Because thats not what the LP system was implmented for. It was to be a nice added bonuse but now its all people work for. Was probably a bad idea when the introduced the new connection skill books, thats what pretty much started the LP farming.
Thats my oppinon anyway.
