Maybe i'll be flamed for asking now that we've finally had the shift to focus on spaceships, but i can't help wondering how this will affect the huge foundation that was put in place in the Incarna expansion.
Will this still be worked on? I wanna chill out and waste all my isk on gambling in a station! |

Probably not Summer expansion unfortunately, maybe Winter, but it will not be abandoned forever.

Latest dev blog seems to celebrate the turn away from WiS so likely never to be seen.
Very sad for CCP to tease us for years then pull away the bone leaving a reminder of the promise every time we log. The captain's cell.

Please share why you think what WiS is now is a small thing. It got all of the basics there, to make it actually fun they'd have to add the multiplayer part and some more content. I don't think that's a huge thing compared to what's already there, but correct me if i'm wrong. |

I would be surprised and disappointed if Incarna has actually been scrapped... otherwise, what's the point in captain quarters altogether. |

Probably because the code is already in there and they can't be bothered to remove...it will eventually turn into the behemoth that POS permissions/management is - developer moves on, leaves behind undocumented code..CCP scared to touch...players left again with unfinished material |

its just this idea that WIS was close to being fully realized .
while not showing the proper respect for what probably did amount to a lot of effort . i still feel that what was implemented was no where near enough to be a complete and satisfying experience.
all the posts that try and to make it sound like WIS was the second coming of eve always make me laugh .
A cap'n quarter's was all they had . that was pretty much it.
sure they may have some code but i bet it was rudimentary at best . the features of establishments and other coolness features were probably a long ways off. and yes it may be sad that it was not realized , but if a feature set took 5 + months to implement eve was in trouble. |
