Otherwise Motherships and Titans would be invincible. Same goes for Dreadnoughts, since you need a sizable fleet to kill a single dread. - Base insurance payout: 40% of ship base price Platinum cost: 33% of ship base price Platinum payout: 100% of ship base price Ship base prices can be found in CCP's Item Database. |

You do not get a ship because it's invulnerable. You get a ship because of it's tactical applications. Tactical application does not include invincibility. Bigger is not better. Bigger does not mean you should win.
Bigger means you are shouting "I'm here, come and get me". Bigger means you need others to protect your sorry ass when the enemy get too close.

use of a Titan: jump ppl trough the cyno without the use of stargates... sending them straight into combat...
superweapon capable of destroying nearly everything within it's range...
capability of sending the superweapon trough the cynosural field... and destroying everything on the other side...
capability of having ppl jump clone to the ship...
capability of setting up clones on the ship...
do i have to go on?
weakpoints of the titan:
can only fire it's superweapon once every hour... no other defences on the ship. requires fuel to open a cyno field. can't jump without fuel, or when warp scrambled...
Second sig removed, only 1 signature graphic please - Xorus ^_^WOOHOO!!! my Sig finally got nerfed... i'm 1337 now... |

I thought motherships and titans were immune to all EW and that included warp scrambling? --- High quality pics of ALL EVE ships!

they are.. only way to scramble them is with interdictor bubbles or anchored bubbles. they dont scramble you they just simply dont alow your ship to warp( or jump in cap ship cases)

Titans do not have huge tanks. They have a fair ammount of hitpoints but a fleet will smash them to bits in under a minute. Running 4 capital reps it would take arround 30 battleships to break a titans tank and thats using all best officer mods and the total cost of just these mods are worth more than the fleet attacking the titan.

Dreadnoughts are the "frontline" ships of the capital class. Titans are more like the ultimate in support platforms to both aid mobility and logistics.
Personally I think it would be cool if they were able to do some limited manufacturing as well (i.e. produce tech 1 ammo types and maybe frigates) but that's a whole different topic.

If you have 300 pilots, and the enemy has 200 pilots, your Titan will still be instagibbed. This is why capitals are rarely seen on grid with fleets outside of POS warfare (where they get lost quite often if theres any defenders, despite overwhelming support). --- Our greatest glory is not in never failing, but in rising up every time we fail. - Emerson |

Because NOs is not Ewar, it's energy emission?
Next someone will ask why smartbombs can't be fired out of missile launchers.

Actually, your titan will sit at a deathstar POS, while one of your pilots makes a cyno on the enemy fleet's grid, as the titan proceeds to annhilate said fleet from the safety fo the POS.
Then your 200 ships warp in and clean up the survivors.

Don't undervalue small ships, and don't fly capitals without support.
Forget about the isk: 100 pilots > 1 pilot no matter how much the 1 pilot wishes otherwise.
