Is this possible in a pod? Will I be targeted and killed? If my corp needs to move to a different region, do I need to kill rats for a weeks?

You can do it, also you can fly trough gates in a fast frig (I can do it in a shuttle sometimes with luck), however the locals will try to kill your pod, and can do so without concord giving a ****.
Upon entering you get the standard warning but no npc in this game will fire upon a pod.
Worst case just pod jump to your new location.

Edited by: Spathi on 12/09/2006 11:20:41 Or get someone to open an office in the new region with a clone station then podjump it. Only costs your clone costs + implants.
If you have instas you wont have any worries getting through highsec in a pod.

I use to travel all over empire with -8 security status. Even moved a cruiser out of jita once and out to low security space. the best though was the first jump i ever made across secure space... scared me to even try but i was determined.. the ship moved was an armaggedon.

Would not suggest this. Even with instas and a shuttle you can be ganked by the faction police if you are unlucky. It seems to be random how fast/powerful the faction police is. -------------- My dad can beat up your dad!

What's the point in having faction standings if a low sec status will make you get shot at by faction cops? I understand CONCORD, since they're supposed to be neutral and all...
But if I have high standing with the Caldari State for instance, along with a low sec status, you would think the Caldari cops would turn a blind eye to my presence don't you?

I just went trough .7 with -9.3 sec rating in a nano'd crow, didnt even see the police, have done it in a shuttle, stick an mwd II on an inty or fast frig with some nano's and you can probably do it like that.

just because i might be liked by my local town residents doesn't mean if i became a serial killer they wouldn't hand me over to the police.

No, but if you pulled countless of jobs for the local secret police they might look the other way, considering they 1. need you 2. you have the dirt on them and 3. are a fluffy kinda guy Real Gangsta |

they won't shot you then iirc. I think it's a low faction standing that triggers navy spawns, not negative sec status. But you can still be podded with no reprise.
at least this is how i thought it works. might be wrong ofc.

Nah, it's security rating, you get that "Kublai, the gallente federation does not accept criminals turn back or bla bla" and if you stay for too long the navy ships kill you, concord will never shoot someone becaues of low sec status. Real Gangsta |

low security status triggers navy spawns, as does low faction standing. They won't shoot pods.
