I'm trying to decide between the two. I see a slight armor/shield, power, cpu increase in the Maller, but I also see a 3mil credit difference and one launcher hardpoint on the Omen (Oh how I love the whoosh-booms). Anything I'm not seeing that makes the Maller the clear choice over the Omen? Thanks!

The ability to take damage?
As much as I'm hesitant to play the devil's advocate, you really will be much happier in PvP if you take the time to train for Gallente cruisers instead.

Well having the powergrid to actually fit a tank is always a good thing....even f you have to fit other races weaponry.

Omen: quite a nice ship, for those skilled.
Maller: nice ship, but also for those with low sp.
Omen: supposed to be a damage dealer, so works nice with fitting skills and gunnery skills. If you lack proper gunnery skills and fitting skill your setup will be poor.
Maller: can be used with a combination of rezistance modules, armor plates, nosferatus and frigate sized lasers. Damage dealt is much less than that of the Omen but the tanking ability of it is greater and all this with a relative low skill level.
Go for maller even if 3 mil is a big difference right now, because if you fit an Omen and blow it up fast yo9u realise nothing.
